As some of you know, I'm in NYC on biz and was planning on a little side trip to HH. Well, it turns out that my NY office is five blocks from HH! So, with directions and my colleague in tow off we went this evening (I'm glad they are open 'til 8 as we were planning on going over there around 3 but ended up there around 5:30).

It's a small store but has a ton in it. The sales person was super nice and they had a selection of bags that were 60% off including that kinda wine colored one with the top stitching and that cool grey bag with the four pockets on the front -- I think we saw those in the pics of the store windows during the sample sale. They also had a smaller satchel version of the grey one that has two pockets. I totally fell in love with the larger Grey bag and snatched it up! They had most of the fall line in the store actually -- they have the Trophy Satchel in Black (yes, it's shiny but nice) - the SA tried to tell me that it was the Biblio, but no way was it

I know my HH!! They had the Havana in the Grape Shine (gorgy), lots of Lorcas, the Tallulah in both colors -- really like that little bag - wish I'd picked it up on the Spooky sale when I (DH) got that great code! It won't hold a lot and it's heavy - a lot of leather in it, but it fits on my shoulder and under my arm perfectly!

They also had cuffs! Both the new styles in all colors and they had some Ramones -- Black w/ gold, BCP w/ gold, Ruby and a Grey one which I snagged as well! I also figured out the issue with the necklaces -- they have the chain sizes mixed up on the website. The circular one has the long chain but the square one has the shorter chain -- I really liked the square one with the shorter chain - almost got it but I can get it at a better price online at some point I'm sure.

They also had tons of the nylon bags in lots of colors - I know some of those are backordered online. They also had a Blueberry/Brandy Origami bag but I think it was still full price in the store -- a girl almost bought it while I was there.

Bags at 60% off (plus she took another 15% for the HHFallThanks card) included:

Wine colored sample w/ top stitching
Grey satchel w/ 2 pockets and silver h/w
Several of the Paule Marrot travel bags
Blueberry colorblock Clara Flap
Shoot - there were a few more too - sorry can't remember all of them.

I didn't have a ton of time as my colleague was starving and not as into HH as I was - it was dark so no pics plus we were the only ones in the store for most of the time we were there so it would have been pretty obvious

I'll post pics of my bag and cuff when I get back this weekend. i have to say the leather on that grey Ramone is so soft and yummy - glad I found that!

Had no problem at all using my Groupon and the HHFallThanks -- no one running down the street after me

So after my Groupon, I owed $50 inc. tax for my bag and cuff so I got this fab bag and a Ramone for $125 (inc. the $75 for the Groupon) -- total score and I used a Groupon up and had a positive experience!

Sounds fabulous, Suzzeee! You scored! So you haven't seen the bag you got before? Is it a sample from SS10? I am insanely jealous of your Grey Ramone.

Yes, it's a sample from SS -- I'm actually surprised it was still there especially marked down by 60%. The leather is nice, turnlocks are stiff but work fine, lining is the new basic black lining but it seems to be a sample with no issues -- I love the light grey color and the leather is really nice! It's thick, soft, textury -- kinda like the old Nomade leather but not quite as "texturey" - it's a big bag, but not super deep so isn't like carrying a suitcase.

I knew I saw a black trophy satchel in Toni's video! I ordered one during the spooky sale so I've been wondering if it would ship earlier than the Dec 15 ship date online. It's so cool you got to see all of the stuff in person Suzzeee! I can't wait for your photos!

I too am glad you had an opportunity to go to the store, it sounds like a lot of fun! I admit I wish I could have gone with you.

What I'm getting from this account though is the stores don't seem to be having any supply problems ~ those are saved for the majority of customers who are stuck with the poorly functioning website. I feel special.

Lucky girl, Suzzeee!! Can't wait to see pics of your tote... I'm intrigued by that one but was a bit confused by how many color combos (trim, different pockets) we saw from the spring pics.

And the "wine-colored bag with top-stitching" isn't this sample Welles, is it!?!?
