thanks bags4fun (yea pacific NW!) and quizshow!

They're just PVC material they used for the proto. The final colors will be a matte white (not the shiny PVC white) and eucalyptus. So far it's just a one-of-a-kind but we'll see if HH says anything when the final product is completed.

I'm just going to sit on my reply for a bit and think about this one for a while. I wonder how my yam/yam shine goldfish charm came out

Thuy, your bag is looking wonderful. What a beauty. I can just see its splendor when it goes into the soft white with Euc. I agree so much with that third photo where she has bluelines a softer curve. That is a very necessary tweek, in my opinion. Makes it so much more graceful. Only problem is, I am loving it so much I regret that it is OOAK.

annam, paelaf, I think at this rate I can go either or. I'm not too entirely picky and like E/W bags, so wouldn't mind the small change. It's probably a nice change since there aren't many E/W HH bags (at least, that I own)

RMC - I agree with the minor changes of the entry gusset. I can't wait to see the final product - just need to think of some last minutes revisions. Thank you for everyone's kind input/comments/support along the way of this fun, fun journey.

For now what's on my mind is thinking of a solution for the braiding (which is, to me, however small, the key feature to the bag).

Looking at these pics, I think I get how to do it and may be able to write a description for you. I can PM you later if you think it would help!

The bag came out GORGEOUS! Man, too bad it won't be available for purchase!

missty, it's a beautiful shape, very graceful! I actually prefer it to the Trophy!

thank you cherubicanh, fafnir (wow, what a compliment... more than my oh-so-cherished trophies?)

Thanks for the links Battahz! And thank you for volunteering - please post us with your findings. I'll try to dink around with the sample idea and see what I can come up with.

Thuy, it's gorgeous!! I like the E/W and that it's sort of fatter in the middle... it seems like a very useful bag (she says after stuffing her Trophy so full it bulges). Can't wait to see it IRL with the little touches. Will there be HH studs on the front trapunto work to pop a few areas?

The advantage of the east west shape (if you like the looks of it) is the ability to find things more easily instead of stuff dropping down to the bottom of the bag. What colour si the lining going to be?? Lighter lining makes it easier to find stuff for sure.

It def needs that entry gusset change and the colours you've chosen will be lovely in the finished product.

Ok I figured out how to do the knots! My poor ID's neck strap got all knotted up around a pen this afternoon, but I figured it out :) I'll do a mockup tonight and send along pics.
