Lagoon Lorca came. i do not love it.

So - i needed a new bag to replace my Balenciaga Maldives. I was looking for another color similar to that. through looking at pictures, i decided lets try Lagoon.

I ordered the Lorca Lagoon from the final sale section, and it came today and i hate it.

first, it wasn't wrapped in anything, just sitting in the box. no dust cover. one of the zipper pulls is rusted. and the color is a DARK blue/green.

i was expecting something light and vibrant.

so disappointed with my first HH experience.

^^ so sorry that happened on your first experience with HH. I always thought Lagoon was a light bright color too - if the color looks totally different from the picture, you might want to call HH and see if they'll let you return it. I know a few people have been able to return sample items that I think were final sale when there was a big problem.

I don't have any lagoon but if you post some pics maybe we could compare it with someone else's lagoon.

Hmmm... yeah, I'd never describe my Lagoon Lorca as "dark" by any stretch. Light to medium, perhaps. That's disappointing!!

yeah, it's really dark and muddy. wth?
I just showed my boss and he goes "that is green". if that is the color of a lagoon, i am not swimming in it.

i took a pic with my cell. the color is much darker green irl. oh, and i can't post it. great. file is too big and my computer at work doesn't have the right program to downsize it.

ETA: i just emailed asking if i can mail this bag back. it is not what they described at all.

Oh no that's not good. I would contact them ASAP and tell them that it wasn't what you were expecting. I don't remember seeing rusty zipper in the description of the lagoon lorcas when they were up and I can't believe they just put it in the box like that without a dust cover.

Yea, I'm familiar with Balenciaga Maldives color. It's a much lighter color than HH's lagoon. The stock pictures on their website have a tendency to be washed out with the flash - so it may look lighter than it really is. I'm sorry to hear about the disappointment of your first HH experience.

Ok, here is a link to the picture i took. please keep in mine, that in real life, it doesn't even look like this picture. it is a dark, muddy green color. not bright blue at all. in my picture, it actually doesn't look THAT bad. but in real life it's a real stinker.

Hm, your pic looks about right to me (how the lagoons I've seen look). I agree, their stock pic is waaaay off from the the real thing. Same with Eucalyptus...and Ginger for that matter. But I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with your first purchase! Usually their colors are much better IRL than on their site. And I actually like the lagoon better IRL than in their pics, but of course we all have different preferences! PS-The items I ordered form the sample section didn't come with a dustcover either.

yeah, i hate this color irl. i much prefer the "fake" picture on their site. that was the whole reason i bought it. also it bothers me that i can't even capture it properly. my photo gives it too much justice! lol

hopefully they'll just let me return otherwise i'll have to ebay. i'm def. not keeping it. i hate it.

le sigh. i just spoke to Nitza. she's VERY nice. unfortunately, because it was a sample sale item, i can't get a refund, but she said i could return for store credit.

the question is - do i want something else? i'm pretty disappointed right now and not sure if i want anything else.

do you think i'd have better luck selling it or should i just get store credit?

Since you purchased it from the "final sale" page, that means that MOST LIKELY it was a sample item. I remember seeing those on the final sale page a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, when you purchase a FINAL SALE item from that page (often mixed up with the "sale" page), none of the items, including the larger bags, ever come with an HH Dustbag. (This is not stated on the page, but I had a similar experience, and was later told by HH this is the policy---as is, final sale, no frills.) Also, due to the apparent shift in the colors/dyes, that makes it even more likely that it was a floor model. From my understanding, 99% of the items from the FINAL SALE section are floor items. Sadly, you get the luck of the draw when it comes to how LONG it's been on the floor. Also, they are just shipped in a box, not wrapped, no plastic, etc, etc. I am not sure if HH will do anything about this, but be warned, they may not do much. Good luck to you!!!

yeah, this must be an old dye, because when i searched for ppl's bags here, they seemed lighter than mine. never ever ever again will i do final sale. it's not worth the $30 i saved.

Satine, I hear you there, lady love! The bag that I was so upset with was not worth the extra savings, either. And if that was enough of a kick in the balls, a week later, the same bag, but BRAND NEW went on sale for LESS than I paid for the SAMPLE??!!! I was furious, but there was not really anything that I could do. I am sorry that was your first HH experience. I know there are some people that caught great shape samples, but overall, it is risky.... Oh well. Better luck next time, my dear! :) Welcome to the madness....
