Sorry, had to leave the house.
I believe I receivee the response as quickly as I did because I voiced my complaints publicly (ie: via twitter and then on HH facebook page).
That was the recommendation I made for those who are suffering to do...
My facebook comment was quickly erased and I then received the message from Ben.

In a second exchange he also said:

Hi XXX,
Feel free to post it. I don't want it to sound like I am irritable or displeased or that I am trying to disparage people's feelings or concerns. I am myself a customer of many other online websites, and I've also been known to search for discount codes, and enter different things looking to save money or try things. I know it's hard out there for everybody, and it's great to be able to save money on something you love.

Anyway, yes, please feel free to post it, but also feel free to ask me to clarify anything I might not have been clear on. We're not out there trying to take anything away from anybody. Just trying to make things work smoothly, and to make sure that there still are items for us to offer people down the line.
regards,
Ben.

I told Ben that I will be sending him a link to this thread so he can hear our concerns...
I hope I've somehow helped the situation, I didn't buy anything from the last 2 sales....but I did not like what I heard was happening and I wanted them to know.

I really think we need to tweet this up - both to HH directly and on our own twitters just marking #hayden_harnett ....and to our legal experts here - aren't store credits same as cash, except with expiration dates? This is cuckoo!
From Ben's myopic, clueless response, it appears, tweeting, chatting, whatever up, is a waste of time. When all the groupons dry up, and purchases have dropped off, he'll be spinning around wondering why.

Erasing Facebook comments is what I expected and why it's most likely a waste of time commenting on HH's page about any of this.

I understand kate, but disagree.. if everyone posted something between the time erased, many others will see the post and I guarantee you something would be done more quickly.
They could have erased it and never even contacted me...but they did.

Interesting. I just an email from Salina telling me I got the original email in error, and that they do in fact owe me $, which they are correcting. Thank goodness someone is trying to fix this!

So hang on, it might be fixed yet. Though ouch.

And Cho, I keep forgetting to thank you for posting this originally and following up with Ben.

One more thought - Hayden Harnett is really relying on word of mouth and internet presence drumming up sales, since fewer and fewer retailers are carrying their goods (just noticed they were dropped by Revolve clothing). So you better have a dang good glitch-free website if that's where your business is coming from. I do most of my shopping online now and I can't think of another website that is this awkward. If you're not supposed to put additional coupons and codes on top of other promotions, it's just not possible. And when it is possible, I have never had it retroactively taken away.

You're welcome fafnir!!
If things start to straighten out, then it was worth it...
(but I bet I won't be getting any big number codes thrown my way anytime soon!!!)

Thanks Cho, that's an excellent point, I was getting discouraged about the whole thing. You're right that this isn't just one person.

Whatever we feel about the response from Ben,he DID respond so all is not lost.

I ordered the first day too. And I tried to use HHFALLTHANKS. But, after doing the math, it doesn't look like it applied. The checkout was all screwey. I paid one price via PayPal. Then the total changed.

That's why I'm so annoyed. I didn't mess around with the totals. I didn't cause the glitch. So, I don't appreciate it that they're not owning up to their own mistakes. It's entirely amateur, IMO.

Maria Maxine commented 32 minutes ago- Actually there is still a sale going on – each day, you get a new code for the sale. There are many different codes in use, and each customer gets a randomly assigned one. Go here: www.twitter.com/Hayden_harnett and there you will see a link to click to get to their ‘crystal ball.’
You get one click of the ball every 24 hours. Unfortunately, if you share your pc with other people, the first person who does the click will be the only one to get access for the day. There is a glitch in the way the site is working today. HH is apparently upset that some customers have more than one email address, so they have added some logic to their website to recognize if a pc has requested a code for the day already. Even if you clear your cache and cookies, you can’t have another person sign in with their email address and get a code.
I think the % of ranges from 20% to 60% and some come with free or reduced shipping.
HH is a small company that makes amazing products; I think they’re just going through growing pains in the area of IT and CS. Hope that it improves because they really do make wonderful things that are so well made and are really different.

It seems that they are restricting some and not others. I haven't been able to get a new discount for the last 2 days. Salina emailed me and said that their server "crashed" yesterday but it should be working now.
No worky for me still. I guess they decided for me that I don't want to donote money to their company for this sale.

Yes, and it means the HHFALLTHANKS was ok to use after all (but my spooky sale code said "applies after all other discounts, codes, etc").
