I don't know, I need time to think about it some but I think so. I haven't sorted out which is about the Chilly Weekend sale and which is about the Halloween sale, they've run together in this.

I appreciate the time you spent on this Cho, it needed to be done.

I feel a LOT better...all better really. I think I was just frustrated the 1st/2nd day of the sale trying to figure out how the sale was supposed to work. And then the idea that they were working sales differently at the disadvantage of groupon holders was also frustrating. And then of course the glitchy emails asking for more $$--In my case it was correct, but I know it wasn't for most people. I understand their point of view and am happy to cut them slack for whatever screw ups they made since it seems like they are gonna take care of them the best they can.

I'm not sure how I feel right now. On what hand I congratulate Ben for facing everyone on FB, but I still don't have the confidence to put my money out there. But I think it's time to put our T-avatars to rest. The point has been made, got the well-deserved attention. Thanks to Cho for starting the FB chat.

Hah, I learned how to put in an avatar today! Now I have to spend time figuring out how to replace it.

I guess I still feel a little confused about the groupons, and how they act as store credit, except when they don't. I just hope from here on out they make it pretty clear in their sale emails.

I'm glad I didn't touch the chilly sale with a 10-foot pole.

But I'm glad that Ben responded.

Welcome PJRUFUS!!! (it's never to late to say that!)
You've fit into Hottieville quite nicely....
I know a lot of Hotties were lurking on fb today, I do wish they would have participated... I'm sure they have questions...
The discussion is still open and I know Ben will check on it again.
Here's your chance (again) to ask.

so glad he noted on the Mercer Cuffs - I just had to after Katie said something...

Cho thank you so much for getting that started on FB - that is exactly what needed to be done...

geez maybe I'm just a big b*tch but I dont feel better... I sense a tone in Ben's responses that just doesn't sit right. How can he possibly be comfortable with asking for money back on orders they screwed up? How can they not understand how useless their shopping cart is and how it's all a guessing game experience... A discount appears, but it's not always readily apparent what's going on - a perfect example is when you use a groupon, then you think omg! I want to get a different bag! Then you go add it, choose a different color, add a few more things, delete others, and you have a zero balance - and oops - after you check out you realize you used two groupons, that's why it was all free, and that wasn't your intention because one was only partially used.

I know, I'm rambling...but I just don't have a very warm and fuzzy feeling. Ben kept saying things that sounded ok, but then would say other things that didn't...like how they don't have to discuss things in public, or how this isn't where CS will deal with these issues - as if these poor business decisions and poor site design issues can be dealt with by CS and not by the folks responsible for making them.

Sorry for my long winded responses on FB....I need to learn to zip it.

I think it's because of these big sales. Retailers don't do deep discount specials and I think maybe they're under contract to honor a certain price point, at least while something is in season. But HH keeps undercutting them and making it more attractive to buy directly from them.

Cho, sweetie, thanks for setting it up and thanks to all the Hotties who chimed in... I read through everything but have just been stressed out about non-HH stuff that I simply couldn't. Well, I tried, actually. I typed out a HUGE post (quite articulate and brilliant, of course ) and when I hit "post" or whatever it took me back to the FB sign-in page and erased my post. FB makes me feel old and dumb. Maybe tomorrow if I feel better I'll post my two remaining questions... how they treat store credits and why they charge for things that haven't shipped yet. Or maybe someone else will re-ask those questions. I'm just exhausted by all of this... it's too much like grading freshman essays, to be honest. Why didn't you do what you said you intended to do in your introduction? Here you said this but in this next paragraph you contradict yourself. Here you're just being rude to your reader. Here you're just being a blockhead. Why don't you know the difference between affect and effect? Why didn't you run spellcheck!? Any blockhead knows how to run spellcheck?! Oh, you didn't know spellcheck existed because you've been living in a cave? Here... let me just re-write your conclusion FOR you.

What she said....oh I soooo agree. this is a perfect analogy! .I used to teach parttime at a college and I can sooo relate, you're spot on. For some reason, I now feel relaxed after reading your post, it's like YES! Somebody gets it...articulated it perfectly. ahh, I can have a nice glass of wine and relax now.

DO NOT APOLOGIZE!! DO NOT ZIP IT!!
Your feelings are completely valid!! And I think many answers were evasive and left questions still unanswered. (Ben would make a great politician!! )

Ramble on Hottie, that is our facebook page. We can say anything we want there with no threats of deletion!!

I hope Ben returns and responds to your post...

Rant on if you feel necessary!!

Wow! I just read that FB discussion. I applaud all the hotties who spoke their minds. It was irritating though to hear a couple Hotties kiss up on there and then come on here and complain. That is really weak. I am sorry if I offend anyone, but that is not cool.

PG... did get mine today, and it was INSTANTLY delivered to my yahoo account. Not that I'll use it (probably).

Siouxie... Grading essays is the very definition of a sisyphean endeavor! I hit a good one the other day... like EVERY question or concern that came up she just dealt with smoothly... it was a thing of beauty. I actually cried. Enjoy your wine
