okay leo & India.....
what are U guys talking about? (banned person, has got a thing about tpf?) Was the post deleted???? not worth mentioning?

cho -
that Chloe color combo is exquisite...the green and brown PLUS the shoes are awesome! I can totally see why it is your favorite!

leo -
talk about POP of color! Great lookin' accessory from CV....is the leather really soft? How does it keep its shape??

mishka -
I know exactly how U feel.....bags can be SO expensive and I really do stick to my guns about buying bags ONLY when they are on sale.....my only exception was the purple Bayswater that I posted. There's a long story about the bag which is too long to tell - but when I saw her - it was the only time that I said to myself "I have to have her".
AND, yes HH - they really do a fantastic job of great lookin' bags that have wunnerful leather, details and organization that really does give you lots of value. Let's just hope that they keep the prices in check!!!

blam blam, it was a crazy person - their id was f***TPF and they were posting all over tPF about banning IPs and some weird crap. I'm glad the mods removed all of the posts. Whew. Crazy person.

Default Mulberry Rosemary
Here's my Mulberry Rosemary - and I wasn't even LOOKING for this bag when I found her. In 2006, while researching ideas for designs to paint on leather, I came across a neat photo of a handpainted bag and printed it out, stuck it on my board. Never thought anything else about it. One evening, shopping e-Bay earlier this year, I saw this bag! WHOA! WHOA! I couldn't believe it. I had no idea the original picture I'd printed out was a Mulberry or anything else of interest - I was just looking at the handpainted design. Needless to say, I snatched her right up. Good price, too. This is the only bag I ever purchased that I bought solely for the design painted on the bag. This bag is very lightweight, very cool to carry, and I found out immediately why Mulberry is Britain's answer to Coach. The Rosemary is the smaller version of the Roxanne, and has two hand straps and a shoulder strap. Unlined.

That bag is way cool! Look at all those details!
Is it a pain to get into, though? Or are the buckles just for show and theres a snap underneath?

CHO! i love that combo of the shoes and the bag! I always lol at your stories about your hubby and his label/design fetish. i sort of created a style monster out of my bf. when we started dating, he tended to wear ill-fitting, hand-me-downs, many with inexplicable stains on them. kind of a hipster/sal. army look gone off the rails. i don't know how this happened, but i know it was in part due to osmosis from living with me, but he is now a total clothing-horse - stalks the Barney's rack at Filene's basement, scours eBay for designer italian shoes and tosses around references to John Varvatos and Prada like it ain't no thing I agree that it can be mis-judged by some as not-as-manly, but he gets revenge by looking like a million bucks!

What india said... Crazy person! lol

Thank you!! I was suprised when I saw it too, the color is soo different. The leather is smooth/glazed & shiny. It's got this neat scaly texture, too. I tried taking pictures of it with four different flashes, it's just impossible to capture the color and texture of it
btw - Of all the bags to pay full price for, that Mulberry was a good one! What a fantastic bag!

I love that this bag initially presents a naive artistic vibe but manages to look so posh at the same time!!! the leather looks so thick and the buckles/hardware are really well done!

Just for show - snaps underneath. When I carry her, I rarely snap - just fling the straps over and off I go. The bag is so well-made the leather folds just like it should.

They definitely aren't for anybody - I never would have looked at this bag twice - but again, handpainted? Designs on it? It just cried out to my art-crazed heart!

Tattooed Rosemary mostly stays in the closet in her own special labeled box. I'm just sad, I know it.

India -
that Rosemary has a special vibe.....AND....I love the size of that bag, though I have never seen one IRL. I've seen Roxanne - and she's too big for me AND too heavy.....

Some day....I'll get a Rosemary, is the shoulder strap long enough??

But most of all - I love your story of how the bag was first your design inspiration and now.....she resides with you!

and yes, Jandelvis-babe.... for me, it's the purple color that did it for me....like you said, classic with a twist!

I just snagged this By Malene Birger dress in the revolve sale! A designer I had a vague knowledge of but truly fell in love with when I was in Copenhagen this summer!

It's got a shift shape with a slight bubble to the bottom. Upon closer inspection, these pics make it look not terribly flattering (looks better in the mirror, I swear! ), but I love the print and the tortoise beaded neckline and I'm keepin' it!
