Though, if I may, big HH sales or signifigant changes to the sale page should probably have their own thread. IMO...
I like the change to this thread. Thanks, swanks! |

Yes, this is definitely a good idea... and HOW good of an idea it is (and how long we've had issues with the other thread) points to the need for all moderators to step up and offer solutions when they see recurring problems. Members (especially those who don't spend time in other SFs) don't necessarily know how to fix things. Moderators should be proactive when there's a common frustration and be able to say "hey... why don't we try this?" It shouldn't have taken Syb noticing that other sub-forums have a basic "shopping" chat. We were obviously all very frustrated with how often we were being chastised on the other thread, and most (not all) of the off-topic posts were still about shopping for HH. If it hadn't occurred to us to ASK for this kind of a thread (mainly because most of us assumed that's what the old thread was) then it could have been suggested to us. I do hope that once we get an HH-specific moderator that person will have enough time for us to be pro-active when she sees recurring problems.
Having said all that, I also thank Swanky for getting this one set up and hope we'll be able to stay on the GENERAL topic of shopping for HH. Obviously discussions of pets, dreamy men, the stock market, still need to go to the Hangout (which for all newbies is our "regular" CHAT thread). This thread is for discussions and chat about buying HH. |

*le sigh*
Actually, it IS the members that know what their respective forums truly need. This forum is not different than any other forum, look around, most have a DEALS chat thread, not a SHOPPING chat thread. I understand you guys want Mods and Admins to be perfect but we're not, we rely on you guys to help evolve each individual forum to suit it's specific needs. What RM has may not be best for HH. What HH has may not work best for Hermes, etc. . . I went to bat for you guys and literally nagged Vlad for more than a week to set up the Library, I was in here exclusively for more than a week making sure the threads were started and moved. I'm STILL nagging Vlad and Megs to add Mods in here. You guys suggested a Shopping Chat in lieu of a Deals chat I did that . . . Jeez, you asked. We gave. Can we move on now w/o insults? ![]() Please? |

Goody ! Now I have a place to post this that is so ironic.( to me)
The red Sao Paulo on zeBay has described issues, so I asked the S if she had used any conditioner on it, (as you know that would seal stains in) The response in part : "I am a member of The Purse Forum and I think I remember them talking about treating HH bags but I didn't." (Post 636 in the Care tread will help the buyer) |

^Hey, easy! The seller may be the tPF expert on "The Real Housewives of NY." It's hard to follow everything, ya know.

There's a tPF member on Real Housewives!? (Sorry... didn't follow the thread but huh?
)OK... doing my part to get the new thread going... Have any of the NY Hotties (or anyone who made it to a physical sample sale) seen that Pink/Gold on the Sonia (on eBay) in person? How blingy is it? |

That seller said it wasn't a sample... She claimed she paid full price for it. I repeatedly asked for more pics, in sunlight, natural light... and nothing... this was a few listings ago. She wanted to wait the first time until auction's end, thinking it might sell... and then I followed up... and nothing... so, be careful, Jenni.

??? Weird. It's OBVIOUSLY a sample. They never produced that color. I'm not that terribly interested... still looking for the perfect tote, and for me the Sonia's just a bit blah in everything but Anthracite. Well... maybe I could do Eucalyptus if I didn't already have the Euc Havana.

I thought they produced that color... in the same season on Anthracite... She might be talking about soft gold. A couple of soft gold pieces I've owned have had pink undertones. But regardless of that the seller really should post more photos and be willing to work with you as a buyer.
