Default Hayden Harnett Hotties Hangout - Let's talk!!
Wanted to start a general thread where we can discuss anything...not necessarily HH related, but just a place for us to chat and get to know eachother or discuss anything that's on our minds...
Sort of a H-H water cooler...
I'll start..
H-H related, I cannot believe that Ben actually made the trip and spoke to us!! I wonder if that was a first on the tpf!! Did we make history there?
I can't wait for the next sale (though my wallet can) and hope I am notified for the next sample sale at H-H's flagship in Brooklyn!!
Indiaink: thanks so much for organizing the first RAOK on such short notice..I am looking so forward to it!!
So anyone else wanna chat? Have any questions...
Let's get to know eachother a little better!! Since the H-H forum is here to stay and all!!

A little about me...
I am a hospital pharmacist...I am in my 30's (ahem, ahem... I am working on dealing with that!!). I am married for 10 years and my DH is a HUGE bag enabler....He has a great eye for fashion and has bought about half of my collection without my input...Not a bad quality, but sometimes frustrating for our budget!!
I am also addicted to Chloe, but am not crazy about the prices!! IMO the quality and high end look of H-H is comparable (meaning just as HOT)...I dragged DH to the HH flagship store to see them all IRL...he's a bigger name whore than me and guess what?!? He was easily and quickly converted to a H-H lover too!! He thought the hardware and quality was phenomenal...
No kids yet...that has definitely added to my ability to buy bags freely....although I am itching for diaper bag shopping lately... (My Dominique satchel may be perfect for that!!)
DH and I love dogs (did I even need to say that?) We have had many in the 17 years of being together and we love the pitbull breed, despite their bad rep in the media...It's the only breed we will own...even once the babies come.. Odessa was the first pit we ever had and she was the Queen of my household.. My hubby called her a champion, which led to my name ch..odessa... She is gone and I will always pay homage to her...I can cry at any moment just thinking about how much I miss her.. So that's the story with my name..
Okay, this is more honest than I've even been with some family members....so I hope this gives a little more insight on getting to know me...

Great thread Chodessa. I'm uh, how can I put this...a bagaholic. I also have other interests, such as reading, book reviews, quilting (although I'm not very good at that), making my own lip balm, lotions and soaps. I have two boys, one husband and a lot of animals.

You are so lucky that your hubby is a bag enabler! Mine sure isn't.

I'm a stay at home mom who worked for YEARS in the title and escrow industry and am so glad to be done with that.

Making soap isn't hard at all, but it can be costly. I must have HUNDREDS of dollars invested in base oils, essential oils etc. I also just give away my soaps. I never feel like they're 'pretty enough' to try to sell.

Great idea, cho!

I was very impressed that Ben came by, and I hope he continues to do so. I think Rebecca Minkoff is the only other one who comes to her forum but I'm not sure, as I haven't really 'been' to the other designer forums.

You (and all of you) are very welcome. I apologize that I took so long to find my way back here - and I was a bit startled that so many of our supposedly 'die-hard' HH Hos (well, OK, 'hotties') had not done more with the forum. Many of us worked very hard to get this sub-forum in the first place - and I don't know where they went!

One of my personality traits is once I get a thought in my head I tend to act on it immediately, which is why I have so many handbags, drive my boss nuts, and make my husband roll his eyes and sigh a lot.

SO - when I saw that our very own HH forum was dying for lack of ... whatever .... I thought NO! NO! I can't let that happen!

I can attest to that - I think whoever h82 gets for her RAOK buddy is going to be very happy, if she decides to bless them with her wonderful soaps and goodies!

What has happened in the past, cho, is that sometimes people feel like they can't express displeasure about HH without getting jumped on. I myself have been accused of doing some of the jumping. And I will if I think all sides of the problem are not being considered - and that makes people upset. :) But sometimes, you know, people don't want common sense, they want somebody to feel for them, and I need to remember that. We all have two choices in the virtual world: Keep Mouth Shut - Keep Mouth Open. I sometimes need to keep my mouth shut and let people bitch. I drive my colleagues nuts sometimes with always being in a good mood. But they still love me.

SO - to anybody lurking - please join in - if you're an HH fan, this is your forum too, and we need you - the more the merrier -

Lately Jackie has been popping into the BE forum, but I think on the most part the designer/owners don't contribute too much. Probably because there's a fine line between contributing and selling their product. But...I totally appreciated Ben popping in here with his comments. Thanks for asking him to stop by!

You guys are the greatest! I'm new to HH (altho not to the forum), drive my DH crazy with my bag obsession, (altho' lately he is able to appreciate the detail on my new lorca) I hoping there will be a lot more HH's in my future! I work as a field rep for a marketing company, have a beautiful 9 year old daughter, and a dear DH. I so appreciate HH for being a design company that seems a little different! I love reading
what you all have to say!

This is one of the main reasons I love HH too!! I am tired of the same old "in" bags....I used to love Kooba for similar reasons, but with Kooba it seemed the more mainstream they got, the worse the quality of their bags became!!
So I looked for a new line to catch my eye and stumbled onto HH (here on tpf).. When I saw that they were made in Brooklyn , it intrigued me even more and I wanted to support an artist in my community as well..
And now..well...I just need someone to support ME cuz I am over my head with these bag purchases!!

hi gals!

I am a 30-something accessory lover living in the Boston area with my bf and corgi-aussie-mix rescue dog whose bathtime is featured in my avatar (she only looks happy - she actually despises any and all efforts at de-stink-ify-ing). she is a real handful but i love her to a disturbing extent. despite her many, shall we say, behavioral quirks, she has NEVER laid a paw on a single bag or shoe of mine... though she chewed up her dad's digital camera - which i assume reflects her good taste and preference for me

I am in academia, teaching public health to undergrads and graduate students, and trying to do enough research to stay in the tenure game. We love to travel - have been to Scandinavia, Asia and South America in the last couple years - and are turning our eyes towards traveling within the USA next. The American Southwest is calling me... and Portland, OR. Reading used to be a big love, but don't have the time to really fit it in with all the work reading on the to-do-list. Also love making jewelry (beading) and vintage clothing and antique hunting.

I love tPF and most of all our HH forum. I really only hang out here now, but have Bulga, RM, Rachel Nasvik, Aridza Bross, Treesje and MbMJ also in my collection.

Great to hear from you all!
