Love the Tano! And your room too. My LR is done in the same colors. I'm still searching for something to put on the walls.

Thanks for the answer Lulu. I would love to be able to travel more. How was the long flight to Australia?

Hi Swanky -

Since you're monitoring the HH Deals & Steals thread, I hope you've also monitored the Let's Talk thread and have read the reaction to your administration of TPF rules. As RealMcCoy put it, this is a sisterhood. A sisterhood that is shocked and dismayed by snitches and mods that find a problem where none exists according to the published rules.

There was never a response to dmc60's post asking about those rules; that's discourteous to all of us who questioned your actions. So much for encouraging a positive, respectful environment!

Yes, you will always attract new members...but will you be able to keep them?

I have already discussed this matter with jennirane, we exchanged PMs and the misunderstanding about the rule set was also clarified by me. Fact is, we do not want people pushing their own auctions on tPF at this point. This rule is set to maintain a certain quality and integrity of the community without diluting it with self-promoting junk.

The rules do not say that you are not allowed to post your siblings auctions, hence, it is allowed. Swanky was not aware of this, Megs and I didn't make this clear ahead of time. Our mistake, we take full responsibility for this.

Listen, our forum generates about 300-400 complaints / reported posts daily. We have a very limited staff, which both Meaghan and I stand behind a 100%. If you have a personal issue with the tone of way that a mod approached you, contact me or Megs.

I do not appreciate our moderators being called "boardnazis" for enforcing the rules that have made tPF the thriving success it is today. This is immature, inappropriate and entirely unnecessary.

Sybaryte, you are exactly right. If you don't agree with the rules that are enforced on our forums, perhaps this is not the right place for you. However, I would appreciate the chance to explain and clarify before a public complaint fest sparks up... which is what this thread apparently has turned into.

I don't think any of us disagree with that; I certainly don't. Not the issue.

I never did that so I don't appreciate you bringing that up in your response to my post.

Never said I disagreed with your rules; simply wanted a clarification and response to questions posed a week ago. That didn't happen until tonight...after my post.

It seems like there was a misunderstanding that has been cleared up now so can we do a group hug thing and go back to normal? Jenni and Bon where are you? We miss you!

Appreciate?!

Swanky (and generally our mod staff) has been publicly criticized in this thread, you brought me into the mix by CC'ing your private message in this thread. I reserve the right to comment on previous reactions in my general response, whether you hold appreciation for it, or not.

Not your post, your PM pointing me here. I had no idea that jennirane took her frustrations out in the open, until an hour ago.

Again, if you have issues, don't drag it out in the public eye. PM me or Megs and we shall do our best to clarify any misunderstandings or questions.

Precisely. Time to move on. Carry on with the regularly scheduled programming, please.

Hi Everyone!

Just made it home from a lovely few days with family in Denver, and have to say I think I slept better NOT knowing there were still things in the sample section of the BB sale . Unplugging was just what I needed, and I'll probably be doing that a bit more in the future, but I wanted to say thank you to all of you fantastic women who reminded me that as unnerved as I was (and still am) that there's someone who has some issue with me that I'm unaware of, that's certainly not enough to stay away from the friends I've made here. Thanks for your encouragement and reality checks!

As Vlad indicated above, the rule has been clarified and I'm very glad about that. I've apologized to Swanky (and Vlad and Megs) for over-reacting in my initial response to her. I appreciate Vlad clarifying the rule to the other HHHotties here who do such a great job of letting each other know when there's a good deal on a great bag, regardless of how well we know the seller. Obviously I'll try to be circumspect in mentioning Bon's sales, but everyone will recognize them regardless from her great photo skills!

I also appreciate knowing that if I (or anyone) has a problem with the way we're contacted by a moderator, we can contact Vlad or Megs. If it ever becomes an issue for me again, I will definitely try to do so after walking away from the computer for a while. I did respond while very hurt and defensive, which is something I always tell my students not to do.

Lu, hang in there. You are a wonderful friend and I know you'll be part of Laurent's whole life. And my Euc Celina got cancelled too :( And enjoy the heck out of Australia!! Mmmmm meat pies and sausage rolls.

Love you all.

wow.

EVERYONE of you is more than welcome to see that "terse", as jenni put it, message in her profile.
At no point was I terse, rude, mean, over bearing - what other nasty words do you guys have for me? None of the above.
Go ahead, look.

I DO NOT, nor have I ever "monitored" this thread or some other thread sybarte told me I monitor. I almost never come in this forum, in fact, I am very comfortable in saying I don't come in at all unless I'm clicking through a reported post.

I had no idea jenni came in here to complain about me like this. I would never do that to anyone here.
Did she also share our PMs? Because if she did you would see that I was NOT terse or hateful at all.
I also never ever said it's a rule.
I did say, to clarify the rumors here, that it's a perceived conflict of interest. That's it! I discussed it w/ our Mod/Admin team while meanwhile I was receiving a VERY "terse" PM from jenni. I didn't respond to it.

Issues w/ members, Mods and Admins shouldn't be public like this, it's disrespectful to everyone involved. If people have an issue w/ me, may I suggest you deal w/ it the same way we ask you to deal w/ your issues w/ others, via PM only, never in public. {?}

Hi Jenni! Glad to see you back posting. Have you gotten your Lido Mini Bag yet?

Oops, I thought we were moving on? Yikes! *running away from thread*

Oops, want to add, sorry, but this is the very first I've seen of this and feel it's only fair that I am allowed to speak like the rest of you are.

I'd like to move on too, but I had no idea there was a public "swanky roast" going on in here! LOL!
