He is getting shipped back home in a couple of days. It took a little while cuz they were "mid action" is what he could tell us. Laurent is doing fine with his grandparents. I saw him earlier today and he was jolly and he doesn't cry much. Laurent's DDad seems to be doing ok. he has been emailing us frequently and tells us that it's all going to be ok. He has needed some help keeping laurent out of the foster system and in the hands of his grandparents. happy to help on that front.
We are all doing well.
That is good news. It's a blessing in disguise that he is able to have the support of his Army Company before transit. Kiss baby cheeks for us !
Are you the baptismal Godmother ?

I was going to be the baptismal godmother. The church was booked until next month. But we had it all on paper so I had some clout when all the legal issues started up. She didn't leave a will or note or anything but at least we had that.
Since I don't have any kids or baby stuff I thought it would be prudent to leave him with his grandparents. They have a baby room. I've got a costco card so I do all the shopping. Holy cow kids are expensive. I had no idea.

I'll keep you guys updated.

You're a great friend lulu. I bet your friend took comfort in that when she made her sad decision.

I really do try to be the best friend I can be. She was going thru a hard time and she had always helped me in times of need. I'm still having trouble with Past participle form. Have, Has, Had

Anyway, I'm going on an emergency business trip. I've got 30 min to pack for a trip until Tuesday morning. Whooo Australia here I come! I've never been there before. Wish me luck that everything goes smoothly. Post all the deals so I can see what I missed.

If anyone is bored....I'm going to a music festival this weekend for 4 days and don't know what bag to bring. This is a rare situation where I really will have to limit myself to one. Thinking of black wyeth hobo, luggage nico, bittersweet gaza, iznik mercer...or something else? Thanks hhhotties!

HONEY.....we need details!
what's the weather forecast?
what will U be doing, just hanging around listening to music OR will U be in "hauling" mode?
what LOOK are U after......
oh.....what type of music? that also will dictate your mood/look......
it's NEVER a simple question/answer.......

Luggage Nico is a good size for 4 days but is also sensitive to sun and spills, so nope. Bittersweet Gaza, a delightful traveler either shoulder or hand carried, with outrageous organization, indestructible leather AND the little expansion zippers; yes. Mercer, too small, nope. Wyeth Hobo, nice but too small for 4 days unless you can carry it cross-body and are willing to wear her backwards for security with the turnlock digging in your hip.
But for all the benefits of the afore named, only one has it all....
Bring your Cordovan Wyeth TOTE !!!

Blammy !

Oh of course! How silly of me :) It's a music and dance festival--roots music. Weather looks pretty good. There might be some t-storms. I'll be camping there so I won't need to schlep my sh*t around...actually I'll probably have to carry very little. Cordo Wyeth would be my first choice, but I don't want to risk it being stolen or ruined or left behind while I'm blacked out . I have no qualms throwing the black wyeth in the dirt (ok, exaggeration) and it seems like it would be easy, plus it would hold a bottle. Gaza has the right look and functionality, but I don't know if I want to give up the crossbody. Mercer is fun and lightweight. Ah watevs...I can just come home and switch if I change my mind! Thanks for the advice guys!

okay.....now we KNOW the situation you are facing......this makes for a strong case to have long staps that can be attached to bags to wear crossbody, yes? Can't remember, put boy, it would be nice to be able to attach a strap to your Gaza, yes? Or, the Hudson triple strap???? Hmmmm - I have a Tano that would work perfectly in your situation (totally adjustable strap/very slouchy and lightweight).....LOL! AND, it is EARTHY lookin....sa-weet! Boy, I'm not being helpful at all.

^^That would be a good bag for the occasion. But I must say, I've never seen two zipper tails on one bag....and big'uns too!
