^Gotta pop in real quick to say that my fully loaded KP Corc did actually fit in front of the seat in front of me...and it was completely stuffed. I had to kick it in there, but it fit.
Maybe I had squishier stuff in mine, I know I had a jacket or two in there along with tons of other stuff. And I wasn't afraid to kick it. It cleaned up great btw from all the scuffs I put on the poor thing.

I have more than gotten my $$$ worth out of it. It is my loyal companion..if it were a dog, it would be Lassie. This is one HH that I will never ever ever ever sell..trade, rent..lend..the sleeper bag of the season. I adore it. Even though KP does look like baby poopy.

Blam, the graphics were unbelievable. Like they hired someone with an MFA or something and told him to go to town. There was what felt like a full 10-minute animated battle on the high (stormy) seas between giant ships flying Pirate flags and (in this case) giant ships flying KC flags. Ridiculous fun. And canons flying... and at some point a colossal statue of Roberto Clemente comes to life, does ninja moves and cartwheels throughout the city of Pittsburgh, flips off the bridge into the park (he's still giant, park normal), lands on home plate, and hits the incoming (flaming) canon ball BACK out of the park. I'm not kidding. AND THEN there was the full-on Star Wars script thingy (white words against the universe/stars stretching out into infinity?) detailing THIS game. Like, the history of each team so far this season... Pirates players were "Jedi This or that" while KC was the Evil Empire. But complete with pitching matchups. It was SO much fun. A bit ridiculous, but fun. And after the game, the jumbotron recapped everything, as usual, but then RAN CREDITS for all the folks responsible for "producing" the game. Scoreboard operator. Jumbotron graphics. And even the "Fascia" operator. (The rows of graphics below various levels of seats... I never knew what it was called!) You must go. And this season... hey. They suck. Cheap seats. We were second tier behind home plate... $27 a pop.
And about the Corc, yeah... mine was REALLY stuffed. Laptop, two packed PM cases, a packed carryall, two books, all pockets packed. I had to move the laptop to my Maldives. The Corc itself fits pretty well, but when it's fully stuffed, it's deep front-to-back, and mine wouldn't fit. Of course... I was on Delta. Say no more. |

Oh, two more PNC notes (for Blammy... sorry everyone!)First, I've never been at a park that mentions the opposing team so much... they got almost equal billing in the graphics, and at the end of the game, the announcer said "the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Kansas City Royals thank you for attending tonight's game..." very friendly. AND this was the SUPER cool thing along the fascia... You know where it'll show pitch speed and type? They went further... Pitch type. Speed LEAVING the mound, speed CROSSING the plate, and vertical break and horizontal break in inches!! WOW.
We've been in SLC this weekend... leave today. Back to Denver next weekend to make a quilt. Saw the Angels' Triple A team (SLC Bees in the most beautiful park ever) on the 4th. |

jenn - am LOVING the details.......now, I'm motivated to get my a$$ to Pittsburgh to see a game w/my DU (Dear Uncle - now that's a new one!). It DOES sound like someone w/a MFA taking care of the graphics and more when it comes to all of the "candy" being offered at PNC....BUT...it's just not candy, it's the details like the kind of pitch, speed, the breaks....WOW...now, that's info to sink your teeth into! was watching w/DH the Tour last night and we were discussing how it would be nice to get more details from the commentators (since they know their $hit) about how the bikers race......different technique (ex. lower gear, higher cadence vs. higher gear, lower cadence) and strategy, etc. It would make it more interesting as well. Wow - what a great mini time boost for Lance yesterday. Am trying NOT to peek and see how the TTT are faring today..... nice sports-talkin w/you babe....(sorry if this is TOO boring for others)- but we know you'll still love us! |

^^ I have a paule marrot book. it's in french but it's fun to look at and I just got a Paule Marrot Duvet in the Grey Floral Print. It has an awesome french country vibe which my DH loves. Now he hangs out in our guest room more
![]() Which isn't good cuz that is where I keep my handbags. He might notice more new additions. On another note. I spent all of my Big Bang money. Not on handbags but Tattoo #9 If you really want to count it's tattoo #16. All of my tats have a meaning for me. I've got 7 small black dots running horizontal under my arms. 5 on my left side representing friends and family that died of cancer, 2 dots on my right that died of AIDS and 2 dots on the nap of my neck for friends and family that committed suicide. Last Week my BBF who I talk about here on tPF all the time committed suicide. She just gave birth about a month ago. She got Postpartum bad. We tried to do something about it. We took shifts taking care of the baby. He spent a couple of nights at my house when she couldn't handle stuff. Her DH is in Iraq. I feel guilty like I could have done more. I don't want to bum anyone out. She wouldn't have wanted it that way..... I'm honoring her with this Bird between my shoulder blades. It by both of our fav. Artist Blaine Fontana. I'm really trying to keep myself busy.... Talk about purses like nothing is going on.... Clean the house, Take care of the garden, Visit Laurent (the baby) at his grandparents house, Shopping therapeutic shopping in mass quantities. Figure out legal stuff, Work... just keep working. Thanks for letting me vent. I really try to be an optimistic person. This last year has been rough really rough. Bad Sh*t seems to happen to me all the time. [calls to the heavens] WTF did I do wrong? Here is a pic of the bird:

OMG lulu.. HUGS TO YOU, YOUR FRIEND, HER DH, THE BABY!
Where is the baby? (forget that, I reread your post) Oh so heartbreaking. This post hits me hard, I spent the day yesterday visiting my BFF and her newborn that she just adopted.. It's been such a loooong battle for her. She survived cervical cancer and has had really hard luck with surrogacy and adoption. Finally, an angel was brought to her last week. But the road has been HARD. Why is life so hard for so many? Believe me, I understand. I wish life was all about handbags and shoes and puppies, but sadly that's just the good stuff, which really never compares to the hard stuff. Please continue to vent if you need to. I'm crying for you and your friend. ![]()
