WARNING:
Not the kindest words to express, but....
Todays give away, the CC Skye bag - it's fugly, insipid and an eye-sore... the designer (if you could actually call the person who drew this up a designer) should be shot. It's a disaster.
There, I've said it.

India...VOR here to help....
First and foremost.....you really don't like to wear big bags and this one is big. Yes, it's beautiful, but not all beautiful things need to pass over your threshold. It's tempting, but alas, let's keep it as unrequited love - cuz if you do get it.....you'll shake your head w/regret and say to yourself.....what was I thinking?????

Welllll, I hear you on the debt issue. But interest free is really nice - if I was in that position, I'd have had a much harder time turning down the Wyeth clutch yesterday. HOWEVER, india darling, I will say as a previous 4-5 day owner of this bag, it is big. Even with turnlocks activated, and the slouchiness factor, it's big. I'd think you'd use it for travel and not everyday, since it doesn't seem to match the criteria for your fave everyday bags. If you think Clara is borderline, Corcovado is a giant....

The lining however makes this my favorite Corc of the bunch....

J and B, thank you for being the combined VOR. I went back and looked again, and yes, I would have to shoot myself if I bought this bag, because I DEFINITELY know better. I just love the leather, and God knows I've got enough gorgeous Hayden-Harnett leather to last me until S/S 09.

Whew. That was a close one .... I'm shaking, I swear!!!

The Corcovado is a big bag, but it's quite light weight for it's size.

ITA - it's super featherweight for it's size... atleast in the Emerald Goat. Are the other colors as relatively light?

For some reason I got a $100 dollar gift card from ebay. That's right from ebay! Greeting card reads:
Dear (my username)-
From everyone at ebay, we want to thank you for your business in 2008! Please accept this gift card as a token of our heartfelt thanks.
Wishing you a happy & healthy holiday season.
Your friends at ebay

Isn't that strange Did anyone else get one of these? I wish that I wasn't banned right now. I would have a field day with all these awesome handbags on ebay right now!

And please someone talk me out of buying this cashmere ball gown!!! I've been eying it for about a year. Tell me it would look bad on me, tell me the color would look bad on me, tell me the cashmere isn't soft, tell me it's too expensive! help!!! I don't want to have to hijack the key to the lock box where my credit cards are!

lulu, HOW did you get so lucky? You DO live in the right part of MN!!! When did the card arrive? You sure it's from e-Bay?

And woman, that dress is currently at 10.50 and ends tomorrow - why ever should you not bid on it at that price? Set a limit for yourself and go for it! You've been eying it for a year, after all - you've paid the price, so to speak.

I love my cordovan corcovado so much, I would like one in every color... so the emerald is really tempting for me. But I must resist since I am still Xmas shopping for everyone else...
