Peeking, tell us again what color Havana you got? I wish I could carry a Havana, but you know - the Inka is the Havana's little sister and I've got plenty of those!

SQUEEEE!!!!! Peeking, you done GOOD. That's such an interesting color - HH just does the most amazing things with colored leathers. NOBODY else does it like HH. And I'm not just sayin' that either, I'd say it if I was a total newbie. My first bag, I *knew* it - and the rest is history.

No, they really really pressured me.. but I really really need the money... and that burying bit really really made me LAUGH!!

(PS- I have no kids YET, and I am Jewish - DH is not, so technically it's not such a tragedy I suppose)

cho, I'm working on New Year's Day. I feel like it's not a huge deal - I only get time and a half (gosh, quadruple pay would be lovely!!!) but at least it's something. I am off on Christmas, though, but I usually work Christmas Eve (I do have Christmas Eve off this year for the first time in about 8 years).

I have the whole week off for Christmas .. and I had to beg and plead and even give up a weeks pay for it - but .. my boys will be with their father for the holidays and my DH's children will be visiting their biological mother .. so we'll be without children for the very first time in 5 years .. maybe 6. First time EVER! I am very excited yet at the same time heartbroken that we won't have the whole family here.

We'll be going to MIL's house for the holiday ... and she'll take one look at my bag and say, "Another new one?!" She's one of those that believes you buy ONE purse .. and wear it out until you purchase the next one.

Anyone else watching The Biggest Loser?
I'm off on Xmas eve (shhhh.. it's my bday..) and the day after Xmas.. plus I'm only going in for 4 hours so... I'll survive..
I never work New Year's... I just like the "option" of getting drunk if I want to .. though I am officially not drinking after the disastrous drunk I became on Friday after my friend's Xmas party..
You guys saw the before pics... believe me the after pics were horrifying...LOL...

I've got Christmas Eve through the 28th off - It's nice to have a chunk of time... and you know, I understand your MIL - my MIL is the same way - a few years ago, she finally had to get rid of her favorite purse (it was literally falling apart) and when DH was visiting her, I made him 'interview' her as to what requirements she had for a handbag. He actually drew a picture of what she wanted, to her specifications. And you know - I found the perfect Coach bag for her, on e-Bay, very simple, old-school, black leather. She loves it, and has NOT stopped carrying it. She'd never heard of Coach. Two years, she's still carrying this bag. I found another like it in a different color and asked if she wanted me to get it - her response? "No no, one is enough, thank you". Sigh.

The sad thing: This Coach will out-live her, I'm sure. I was so pleased to have found it and called it right on the money! It's not the first time I've been a successful 'personal shopper'.

I'm sure you deserve it. <peering at carpet burn scar on left wrist from one such 'event' years ago ... nothing like passing out in sloooowwww motion on the carpet and REMEMBERING IT THE NEXT DAY> <and the rest of my life!> Bacardi 151 is NOT my friend. I haven't had any alcohol in years. I like remaining in control of my body.
