Not sure... I can't figure out who the maker is. :) it's really interesting inside. it kinda reminds me of maybe a traveling salesman's case? It's got some interesting compartments... beautiful fabric lining on the inside of the flap.

I am so happy it is Friday. It has been a long 2 weeks. I just scheduled vacation time for the 1st week of July. I hope it gets approved.

Happy hour sounds fun. We just spent a half hour getting coffee and chatting, so now everyone is trying to get things done and GTFO.

Happy happy hour lol!
The YSL Retrospective was wonderful! One room of his end-of-runway-shows women's tuxes--at least 50 of them. And amazing gowns, great historical context discussion. I think I still give the wow edge to the Vivienne Westwood Retro I saw at the V&A, but this was wonderful. Had forgotten how much I loved Rive Gauche (my very first big girl perfume lol).

Tomorrow is oysters and martinis at Jax:

And then the Pancetta, pecorino, and egg pizza at Osteria Marco:

Before heading out to Red Rocks. Yum!!

Or maybe the prosciutto, fig, and fontina? Can't decide!

I've been so unproductive all weekend. I wish eating tater tots and listening to old CDs was on my to-do list, because then I'd be a champ at getting things done.

DH made tater tots with cheese tonight!! He's such a gourmet!!

And I listened to the oldies station with 70's yesterday and 80's today!!

But the most excitement we had was the green space behind our house spontaneously com busted(the firemens' words) into flames today and a fire was going strong. GD ran into the house yelling, "There's a fire in the backyard!". Dh was 'trying' to take a nap downstairs after his rough weekend in Iowa golfing!! lol (charity event he is on the board for) The only time I've ever seen him run up the stairs that fast was many years ago when we had gotten home from going out and he put a pizza in the oven. I went up to go to bed and he went downstairs to watch tv until his pizza was ready. I smelled something about 40 minutes later, and went downstairs to a burnt pizza in the oven. I yelled down to him, "What the hh are you doing? Your pizza's on fire!!"(it wasn't. I was just being dramatic to prove a point about not falling asleep after putting something in the oven!!) I swear he bolted 5-6 stairs in one swoop!

Anyway, neighbors were out there with hoses and I called 911. DH grabbed a hose(cho, pae stop!!) Four firemen got there within minutes and everything was put out rather quickly. It is so dry here, we haven't had rain in forever and it was pretty windy. It could have been pretty bad pretty fast if it had gone unnoticed, but thankfully the Fire Dept. is only 2 miles away. GD was all, "I've never seen a Fireman before in real life!!" in that naive amazement. (they all seemed so young, or am I just that old!!)
This is not CA or CO. What gives??

jenni - hope you had lots of fab food.

mt - I was unproductive too. It's streaming movies and tv that do me in when I'm lazy and want to turn off my brain. Speaking of tater tots - the Sundance Kabuki - the fancy theater here that has assigned seatgin ad 21+ shows has those at the bar and they even have a special advertising slide of them that come up before the movie. We almost got them.

2many - oh dear. glad they put the fire out. did they figure out what caused it?

omg, 2many, that is very scary. glad the firefighters were quick to respond!

mt, i'm joining you. unproductive weekend for me too. but, no guilt. hope you enjoyed your down-time. it's my first relaxing weekend in over two months. sleeping in feels so good.

this is my favorite foodie film of the year: Jiro Dreams of Sushi. please go see it if it's showing near you. i saw it at the tribeca film fest last year and i'm so glad it got distribution. http://www.magpictures.com/jirodreamsofsushi/

Glad you're okay, Lauri! Having just seen a yard go up in flames, I can imagine how relieved you are they got on it so quickly!! The Wilco show was great, but with so many huge fires on the front range, pretty smokey. More started up yesterday, two new ones on our side and a big one by the Springs

LOL@eating tater tots and listening to old CDs, Jennifer!! That's about all I got done this weekend, but for "old CDs" insert "Wilco's entire discography and (randomly) a lot of Michael Jackson" and for tater tots insert "oysters and pizza"

Hi Sacch!! Will look for the film! My next foodie challenge is to make Bouchon's cod and potato brandade.

ooooo - I love brandade.......oooooo......can I come over for the weekend. Tater tots must be an american thing. I'm honestly not even sure you can buy them here.

Sacc - that movie looks great.

2-many - it is global warming? Apparently global warming hasn't made it to BC yet. The weather here is freaking ridiculous for June.

Sacc- we saw that movie when it came out and loved it! If you hotties go to see it I'd recommend doing it when you can go for sushi afterwards.

What is brandade? I'll have to go look now.
