sooooooooooo jealous! I miss Italy...I lived in Vicenza many years ago, and would "visit" when I lived in Germany.... the pizza, the markets, the ice cream....these "authentic" places here don't have the slightest idea what real pizza is .......

Beautiful pics Lu! I am so glad you found a new place so quickly!

I'm going to get so fat LOL there is a place not that far from my new place that serves my fav. combo
gelato, strawberries and balsamic vinegar. The balsamic aged like a fine wine. YUMMY! it's like orgasimically good LOL

I've driven tru vicenza it's gorgeous it's not that far from venezia. I agree about the pizza although in MN there is a pizza chain called Punch. It's kinda close to authentic.

April, wow! I gotta say Italy is a major upgrade from MN (I get cold just thinking about it) eventhough you'll probably miss family and friends.

This. I am feeling very pedestrian today as I work in my small office in a nondescript city (where I went to HS) and prepare to return to my condo where I've lived for 10 years.

I'd trade you anyday. My lifestyle is a little too fast paced. I frequently have no idea where I am and where I'm off to next. It drives a virgo like me crazy.

When I get home (mn) weds. night my DH will be home from his trip and we are taking a vacation at home.2 weeks of just me, him and the pups, cat & turtle. It'll be the first time we've been in the same house for more than 24 hrs in like 6 months. We get to just chill. It's going to be so relaxing.

Oh I forgot to mention. We got a turtle. My goddaughter pick him and I keep him at the office for now and she named him Franklin. yup after the cartoon. I bought her DVDs for her b-day.

Aw, lulu, we have 2 tortoises living in our house. They are supposedly my son's, but I find myself talking to them all the time. They are very cool guys.

Arrgh. This morning was filled with frustration--I went to pull out my MB circe coin purse and one of the kisslock parts has snapped right off. I have no idea where the other piece is, but I doubt it's fixable. Then I go to get change from my ICP Pilot and the zipper eats the lining--the teller at the bank tried to help, but he's only gotten more stuck. Arrrgh! If anyone know a trick on how to salvage my zipper, please let me know. If I fiddle with it more (and I have), I'm afraid I'm only going to make it worse.

Oh no!! Sorry I don't have any advice on how to fix it...I always just have to fiddle with stuck zippers until they're either fixed or ripped lol. Hopefully someone else will have a better idea. Are you going to see if HH will fix the coin purse? That sucks.
