Default Havana mixed feelings
Got my first HH, Havana in Lagoon, soft leather, beautiful stitching, but is it really 20" long? Seems so much smaller than that. In the store I tried on Blueberry and it seemed that it was bigger when I had it on. I do not love or hate it, just kind of "bluh" with this one. Maybe I need to carry it around few time to fall in love with it?

RBL, the leathers on a Havana make it feel smaller or bigger. I had a Havana in both the softer cordovan leather and a stiffer Indigo Crinkle Patent. The patent bag felt and looked bigger because of the stiffer leather. The lagoon may be like the smooshy cordovan and drape a lot more. They do hold quite a bit of stuff. If you still need more volume, you might try to find a Nico XX (vintage HH) on the bay. Those were sized large. They run around 18" x 19".

I had that reaction to a bag I recently got (not an HH bag though). When it arrived, I looked at it and thought, "well, it's pretty" but there was no zing feeling about it. I've wound up carrying this particular bag 4+ times a week for the last three weeks – it has turned out to be an awesome no-brainer, workhorse bag for me.

While I don't have a Havana myself (I think it's too wide for my taste), it has always looked to me like a versatile, slouchy hobo that will look great with everything.

RBL, by now you know I am a big fan of Trophy bags and Beatrice satchels. Those, along with the Corcovados (no longer made) are my favorite bags. However, I do have a Havana and it was not instant love with me. But using it, as Balena said, has changed my feelings. It has become one of my favorite "slouch" bags. When I'm going to the movies, a football game, fairs - any crowded event - the Havana is my go-to bag for those. It's a bit smaller, tucks well under the arm and doesn't bump everything as much as my larger bags.

I like the workmanship, I just thought it would be like the blueberry one-bigger, and it turned out to be more like ginger bag that I saw in the store
Funny how same model bag could be so different in different leather
I think you are right
I think blueberry leather is firmer, not as smooshy and that is why Havana in blueberry looked and felt larger
Ginger, lagoon and other lighter colors make Havana looks and feel smaller, even though it is the same size technically

I want Trophy
I will wait until the fall, I liked one of the colors-looked like black cherry color with some orange contrasting stuff on it

yeah, I know you are a fan, you are contageous too
you sure know you HH bags, I know if I want to buy an HH bag or two, I should ask and see if you have any for sale
you are loaded with HH bags, or at least you were before you sold some.

Yep, I was a bit loaded with HH. Since I discovered what great bags HH produces, I have pretty much converted my colleciton to their bags. I have a couple Maxx NY bags to move and that is about it. I will then be probably about 90% HH in my wardrobe. I have some Alexis Hudson and Gustto. I discovered them through this forum. I check the "non HH purchases" thread regularly because I have found that if it is a bag line that an HHHottie likes, I will probably more than satisfied with that company's product quality. In total, we can be a group of exacting customers,.

I did what Gingey and India and some of the others have done. I took stock of my collection and decided on a few pieces that were more luke-warm heart than full-out-love-that-bag. Those "in like" bags were adopted out to good homes in preparation for my newly purchased Blueberry Trophy, the hoped-for Beatrice Camille, and BIG TIME wants in the Fall collection. I tend to put my fun money into big bags rather than small accessories. So, yes, I have about 12-15 bags in rotation, but only 3 accessories.

I have found, though I love to change my bag out daily (or at least every few days when on a rushed schedule), I don't like to change out my accessories inside. One wallet + two carryalls = forever. I do two carryalls - one for "me" stuff, one for tech bits and pieces (ear buds, iPhone converters, mem cards and thumb drives). That is it for my "smallies" investment.

Oh, forgot to add above the couple Cole Haan Aerin Convertible totes I own. They are my "workhorses". They plow through the day with the greatest of ease. If I mess them up... well, it doesn't seem to hurt as much as messing up an HH bag.

Trophy, feels like to me, is definitely HH's prizewinner.

And RMC and I are definitely the biggest trophy pushers on the forum

I have at one point 4 trophies (VCP, TCP, BZ, GZ). They definitely look and wear differently based on the zeus and crinkle patent leathers. The zeus leathers, have a misty kind of glow/sheen to them, have a softfeel touch and some smoosh to them, and look downright elegant. The crinkle patents are more structured and stand taller, and they look like glossy candies (especially my VCP, I always want to eat it - my grape jolly rancher)! I gave my TCP to my sister in preparation of F/W 09 yam shine trophy just like RMC. Also sold my BZ trophy because I felt like perhaps I should let another go. I missed BZ, but reminded myself that I'm okay without it, that biblio black will take it's place as my black bag. It didn't take long after RMC posted her BZ trophy pictures that I started to miss it so much that I ended up re-buying BZ trophy. And now I never wanted to be separated from BZ again!
