Default Gingey's Stairway to Hayden Harnett Heaven Photos - part 1
Here are some photos of what I call my "Stairway to Hayden Harnett Heaven"...that all began with my Lead Big Mimi win on evilbay. The only other "find" of mine is the Gaza in Mocha Canvas and Creme Leather that I bought from a lovely lovely TPFer. I can't wait to use it. The only thing that is missing that I had wanted to keep is the Ipanema clutch that I purchased at the SS, my BFF saw it and coveted it. I asked her would she mind getting a once used handbag as a gift...guess what she answered?...!

I'm still waiting for some of the latest additions to my growing HH Collection to arrive.

Top left is my much used and abused and well loved Khaki patent Corcovado, to the right is his fraternal twin newly arrived BP Corcovado. The Khaki has snaps on all the pocket flaps, the BP has magentic closures.

Underneath is my Sonia in Anthracite to the left and Mercer in Goldrush,

Under that is the Marlow Mirror Flap (?) in Black Patent, and the Lovely Lorca in Bronze Anaconda,

Beneath is the Big Mimi in Lead who is to blame for my HH Obsession and the Cunning Conrad in Yam,

Tharpe in Oyster that is wounded no more and the Gaza that I can't wait to use,

my newly aquired Wyeth Cordovan Hobo, and the Havana in Indigo Patent that I grew to love,

my collection of wallets, Turnlocks in VPC and Cordovan and the two Bungalows in Bronze Anaconda and Bronze Black Whipsnake. In between are my assorted Ramone Cuffs. Close ups and the addition of my CBGB Belt in Ruby to follow.

This is all I can do today..thanks for the comments about the lighting..my DD, Ariella, is my photographer, and editor...camera whiz and computer editor par excellenceprops all go to her...I just produce and stage..(oh yeah..and buy LOL)...I'm still learning how to do this but I promise to post some "modeling" pics ASAP. DD only has one week off before she goes back to graduate school and her internship.

Oh Leo..I was soooo lucky that day I went to the physical sample sale in Soho in a downpour. They only had one..I practically grabbed it out of Stacy's hands as she was unpacking the box before she even put it on the table. Same with the CBGB belt..it was the only one and it really is an amazing thing of beauty. I love wearing it around my hips with a plain black sweater dress..it's the only hit of color I need.

I loved being at that sale because it was like a treasure hunt. If any of you have the opportunity to go to one, run run run. One of a kind treasures galore. In retrospect, I should have gone there on the first day and I also regret some of what I passed on. But I was really a newbie so I was clueless..not any more though thanks to all of you here to you all for your posts, your modeling shots, your library etc etc etc! TPF and HHHotties ROCK!

Beautiful just beautiful you got all the good cuff colors before they discontinued them. Though the spring lookbook does seem to have a a VCP Joey I like the eggplant Ramone better. Well done Gingeybear.

Thanks so much kinb, if you have a chance and want to add some rock and roll with a twist pizzaz to your wardrobe, grab one. They fit my small wrist and add a really nice vibe to what I wear, plus there something about the perfect balance of the leather on my wrist plus the heft of the studs. When I don't wear one because it doesn't match the "tone" of the outfit or if I have to go to a more conservative venue that demands an (ugh) dress for success costume, I miss it.

What I love to is that they are more luxurious than most of the other leather cuffs that are out there and the colors are TDF..I am dying to go to the Brick and Mortar store to have a tactile buying experience..

Mishka, that's the Oyster Tharpe that was covered in blue spots that I simply repainted using silk and leather fabric paint. I had been going to do something "artsy" and Stormy Heart was an amazing help but after I put on what was going to be the first base coat of the White Shimmer Pearl, I couldn't get over the coverage and the identical color and tone so I simply continued. My bad though is that I didn't take before and after pics..newbie lesson learned LOL

Thanks for your nice words..I am waiting for my GZ Havana, my Lorca in Cordovan and the PM Toulouse Clutch that I snagged as well as today's purchase of the matching PM wallets and satchel..Better than Lay's potato chips..I can't just get one..and thank you HH angels for allowing me to add to my collection.

BTW in the photo that is a closeup of the cuffs anyone who want to see what Lead and Yam looks like in the sunlight can see a corner of my Big Mimi in Lead on the left and a corner of my Conrad in Yam on the right.

What a collection Gingey! I love the color palette--totally great for redheads. I also love how your Tharpe turned out.

Thanx... Yes..it is a collection for redheads but I wish it was a bit more varied..But now that I look at my entire "family" I realize that I really would love something in a rich green (Sigh Emerald Corcovado or a fir green something) and a deep purple (Sigh again...plum gaza or amethyst Nikko(?)) I realize that I am lusting after HH's archival archetypes..current, indigo, rose..serious gaps...serious gaps...

I had intended to use the Tharpe as a canvas for something. It wound up a bit whiter than Oyster but overall I am so happy. The leather is still supple and 99.99% of the blue is covered. I may still wind up painting it if I need a boost or the indigo starts showing through again.
