Lulu - thanks for those ideas!!! I need to spend some time looking at them in more detail.
It's tough when you have a fantasy bag in your mind and can't find it. It looks like the wyeth tote is a great bag but I just can't do the fringe and western look. The size and shoulder strap are nice. |

Lulu - I've spent more time looking at the bags you've suggested. Now I'm back and reconsidering the wyeth tote. Aggghhh.
Is anybody using their Wyeth to hold files and work stuff? I've looked all over and haven't seen any pics of the interior of the Wyeth stuffed with files or books. Does anyone have any pics of that??? |

Hi ladies,
You just got me fall in love with the Trophy, the Corcovado and the Sonia bags! I was saving for a Havana at this time, but now I wonder whether I also need to get another great tote for work. I know that Havana is quite light, which is a main reason that I longed for it. Could any one of you compare the weights of these different bags that are ideal for work? (BTW, will the Corcovado come back this fall? I didn't see it online for a while.) |

I am using the wyeth tote this week and I just tried to put some folders and books in it along with my various cases and carryalls. They fit just fine. The opening is about 2 inches bigger than the letter size folders. I can carry it only by the longer strap if it's stuffed, and having books and folders make it hold its shape better, it doesn't slouch. I hope I was clear enough. |

Thank you fafnir! I will be watching for a Trophy or a Sonia. (I may prefer a Trophy because of its outside pocket.)

Thanks emi1!! I looked again at the wyeth tote but the fringe is still an issue for me. HH needs to make a slouchy messenger bag (BIG enough for work files and stuff) and in nice leather. I guess the wyeth was really that bag but it is the combination of fringe and pyramid studs that I just can't get past for some reason.
My search continues! |

I don't even notice the studs now and the fringe is fine for me. I loved the bag since the first time I saw it, now I am seriously thinking of finding a second one in a different color.

Yes, it really looks great. I almost need a backup for it.

Yeah - I look at pics of all you hotties wearing it and you can totally pull it off. Looks great, rocker, hippie, western, whatever - it seems to work on all of you.
But me and my work wardrobe? Not so much. I'd want it for a work bag and I just can't see carrying it to work. |

I feel the same way about the Trophy. I like it on everybody here, but for some reason, I cannot see myself carrying it. I kind of like the trophy satchel, but I am not sure about that one either. Same thing about the Beatrice, it looks huge and I am not small, but I cannot get used to the idea.

Ohhh - and I love the trophy. It is a gorgeous bag.
But not big enough or messenger-y enough for the full on work tote I'm looking for. |
