I didn't think to ask about how they ship. She originally said that the Impenema (Bowery) clutch wouldn't be 1/2 price. So i told her ok, take it off the bill. Then about 20 mins later she called back and said that the manager told her they could sell them for that price....

Actually for some reason they sounded like a small outfit.

After speaking to them in the morning, I wrote them a complaint email telling them that it was terrible business advertising and then re-negging. Then I told them they are creating a bad reputation on the forum due to their poor PR..

She told me she only had the oyster/gold combo..Which color did you snag Ms.Liz?
I hope they honored everyone who ordered from the forum. I made sure to throw it in her face and she acknowledged the increased sales volume ..
The company is based locally (for me) in Brooklyn, which is where HH is.. so direct or drop ship may not be that much of a difference...

The store is closed on Saturdays for religious reasons. That is why Sunday is a working day for them.

I guess they didn't have enough to go around OR they were obviously losing money on them... so we could only get just one!
I didn't have a choice in color though... that would have been nice... although I don't know if I would've been able to choose.. so i guess it's better they chose for me!!

Never take no for an answer! Persistance and a judicious dropping of the name PF paid off. I hope you and everyone else get them in the mail ASAP.

Maybe it's the Brooklyn in us (I was born and raised in Brooklyn!) that does't allow us to give up when we know we're right!

No they didn't honor my purchase. Yesterday, when I found out about the discount (hats off to the wonderful PURSEN who posted here, wish I could have been around on Saturday). Sadly, you HHHs stripped them to the bare walls on HH items. for me for you.

I put two Botkier bags in my shopping cart at an amazing price and the discount clearly said 50% off everything except for Judith Lieber. When I went to check out the coupon code wouldn't go through. I took it off and clicked through to purchase and then it went through. I didn't know if the bags were on sale or not but nothing on the site said I couldn't use the code on reduced price items, just on Judith Lieber.

I opened another screen to try it again and the purses had gone up to over $700! When I tried to use the coupon again, the 50% off went through but now the bags were more than the price was on the other screen. I bit the bullet, decided to only purchase the white one and not the silver one. When I went back to delete it, the price had changed in my shopping cart even though other sale items were still at the lower prices.

IMHO perhaps they didn't realize how huge the the amount of hits their site would get from HHHs and others and didn't expect the volume of sales?

I think that maybe because HH isn't a "name" the way the other lines on their site are, that perhaps they were using it as some sort of loss leader. Or perhaps they thought that they'd sell a few, not realizing the power of PF and the zeal of HHHs? Consequently, they didn't have enough to fulfill orders at that price.

Maybe one of the veteran HHHs could contact Hayden Harnett directly and find out what the story is with this vendor and how they got their hands on these bags when HH isn't a brand that Vialuxry normally carries?


Just some thoughts before I go back to work.

One more thing. Just for kicks I logged onto the HH sample sale site. As of now, the sale is still on.

Calling Miz. Liz...Sonia is still there. Maybe it's meant to be. Maybe someone is telling me something. Maybe I should call HH in Brooklyn and tell them Mama's coming in pursen to pick up her honeychild...to pay cash so that my CC doesn't melt..

Perhaps its a sign that I'll win the lottery today?

I'll give U an update once I speak to them this afternoon.....cuz they cancelled my order as well.
I too sent them an email and mentioned that they were honoring the sale price for other member of TPF (no worries - didn't disclose "names") and they did not give me the courtesy of a call, etc.
I ordered the clutch in the patent/khaki......and some other stuff.
Let's keep our fingers crossed!

whew....I think you need some rest after all of this "action" with your first HH sale...CONGRATS and I hope you had fun! Thanks for sharing your ViaLuxury story......hmmm....not very professional of them, 'eh?
The last thing they need is more negative comments from us.

Just in case U read this.....pls. know that unless things have changed...what we order from the HH website cannot be picked up at their Brooklyn retail location. I know, go figure. It MAY have changed, but if not, don't fret. Just another "quirk".
