I'm stepping back and not taking it personally. If they feel like they need to branch out and snag some new customers, more power to them. That may have been their intention behind the original Groupon sales, too, who knows? and it got away from them (or we got it away from them, lol).

You are right faf, I don't take it personally either - they probably didn't realize how obsessed we would get with them! LOL! There is a coupon site here for hair appts etc and they only have them for new customers. I'm assuming they must mean new HH customers. Hopefully that will get clarified.

ETA: I just read Lina's comment about "abuse of groupons"...hmm...not real sure exactly what that means? weird. I'll going to leave this alone though bc I'm just not buying any more. Now I feel like just buying something full price with them and leaving it alone. I think I'm going to do that.

Hmm. The latest comment left in the discussion: "To date, we have not had a limit on HH Groupons but to try and prevent abuse of Groupons, we are now limiting it to NEW HH clients." Abuse, huh? Whatever. Ah well I'm over the Groupon thing for now, so it's probably for the best. And like RMC said, I hope this shows them just how valuable we actually are to them.

ok...if by abuse they mean selling out of their inventory, having backordered items, a high resale value and referrals, fine....otherwise.....

Yea, I am trying to leave this alone but I didn't care for that comment. it's not "ABUSE" if people are using them as you specified? I really don't get it. But whatever. Off to do some productive work.

I was all set to give them benefit of the doubt, but comments like that, little digs and the like....that pisses me off.....just the principal of the matter.....

You're right piggy. It's just not nice. They probably (might?) mean some specific customer/reseller with hundreds of groupons/email addys but it still hurts...speaking as someone who has used 8 of them! LOL.

I can't put it any better than you ladies already have. GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

What happened to the old business maxim of while it's nice having new customers, also keeping the old ones is cost-effective? Did that go out the window somewhere and I missed it?

I'm teetering on the edge of basically dumping my Groupons too except, right now, there isn't anything else I want at HH that is also on the website and in stock.

am i smoking something or did you guys see my name show up as well in that first post by someone named judy? I saw her name then mine....but now it's back to hers.

what the heck??

Anyway, this is wack. The word abuse is definitely insulting and is inline with HH communication in generally, even if this was filtered thru a 3rd party. I'm sure that HH was told that this would broaden their mkt with new customers, but we also broaden their market with new customers with our referrals...online and offline.

Abuse of Groupons? That is offensive. Lina has been encouraging people to buy 10 of them at a time in previous sales.

Do you think maybe we're just being sensy?

I was trying not to be sensitive, but that word pushed a button. Yes, they were encouraging us to buy multiples. But maybe since that hasn't worked out so well for HH, it's our "fault" for "abusing" them? I don't know. I'm kind of stunned at the turn of events in the past week.

cant help but take that personal.... wow... abuse eh?

how about abuse of my credit card being charged for merchandise on backorder for 3 months? eh??? now that's abuse...

I think I need to bring this up to them now because honestly, I am sick of the card supposedly not be charged; and sure enough it gets charged...
