^^^ It's the same spray, Nikki. One's a pump and one's an aerosol. Your choice. Someone somewhere mentioned that you have to be a bit more careful with the pump (larger droplets). I've only used the aerosol and it works great.
FYI... I'm out of my first (small) can. It was good for the following treatments: Yam Tharpe (2 coats) Large LP Messenger (2 coats) Yam and Ginger Carryalls (2 coats each) You do have to saturate the bag, so get the larger size or multiples. ALSO... I tried taking some to Bonnie last time I flew to Chicago and my suitcase set off all the alarms in our airport. The were super nice about it, but I had to take it back to the car... it's pretty flamable. |

Thank you for replying so fast Jenn. I want to hurry up and get some. That is funny about the alarms!

Hi, I was told to post my initial questions here! I'm hoping someone can help me with a specific problem of my Conrad bag.
I've had the bag for a few months and i'm noticing that the black color is mildly fading in a few spots on the bag. Its only noticeable when the light hits those spots. It looks like a light gray sheen on the edges of the pockets and around the zipper area. I'm so careful with my bags so this is a bit disappointing. So my question is, can I carefully, lightly dye those spots to bring the color back? I've read about the Tarago dye and that it can be sponged on. Would you guys recommend using this or something else? Has anyone had this happen before? Any advice would be appreciated. |

Luluyn, be patient! This thread is a slower one but people do answer; Stormy knows more than any of us, and several people have used the dyes. You might clarify, though: do you have the older Black Conrad (geometric lining) or the newer one (can't remember if it was called "Onyx" or not... but it has the HH Logo lining). There might be differences in the black leathers.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like I have the older version, it was one of their sample sales with the geometric multi-color lining. I'll try to post pics and wait to see what is recommended. Someone in the original thread said that the Tarago dye dries a bit shiny and the Conrad is semi-matte finish.
I wonder if I should start with a little bit of leather conditioner first. I have the Apple brand. Just to see if it helps. The wear is really slight and like I said is mostly noticeable when light hits it. |

Do not condition before applying color, but you may wish to condition AFTER touch-up. I do not recommend DYE (really just paint) at all. |

AHHH SADDLE ~ my favorite HH love ! Not delicate, but will show personality with use. You can start with TLC spray protector, and I would say OK to TLC lotion only later if she spent a lot of time out in the sun. (Expect the color to deepen a little,) Keep in mind that marks will rub out by hand on Saddle, and massaging the leather will bring it's natural oils to the surface ~ very easy care ! Everywhere you go is climate-controlled* but if you do experience a little dehydration TLC or Lexol water-based conditioners will work beautifully. Your Zs can use it right away. NICO is a garment-washed leather that will spot with any conditioner, so please be extra careful if someday you feel it really needs it. A naked leather would have to be suffering before I'd touch it with conditioner...and I'd have to be willing to sacrifice the lovely matte finish. Goldrush Lorca doesn't need anything. In fact, all products will dull her glow. *except jeeping in the desert ! |

Hi, I have read in this thread that the Moonbeam leather should not be treated. I just got a Moonbeam Pompidou and I want to keep it looking nice. I notice that my MB Celina cuff that I've been wearing 1-2 times per week for about 6 weeks is starting to get dirty in places! Is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance for any help you ladies can provide.

Thanks so much! Btw...I am so jealous you both got the Celina cuff in MB. I should have gotten it during the 50% off sale, but I wasn't sure if I would like the cuffs and was hesitant to pull the trigger. I ended up getting one in Brandy after I waited too long and love it! I got a black and ginger one during the 60% off sale. I hope they bring the MB back and it's not completely sold out. I would wear it all the time! I think I have a new addiction.

Hi!
I've just bought several HH's for the first time - from different collections. I love them, but my question is this -- The newest Trophy's and Lorca's have a turnlock that allows the bit that sticks out to lay flat. The one's from previous seasons do not have this - the turnlock doesn't "bend". Is this how it should be? Did they improve the turnlock in the recent past so that you can bend it flat? I like that better. I have the Trophy in brandy with the new, improved turnlock, and the TCP - but it has the turnlock that doesn't lay flat. Thanks for your help! I |
