Hi,
I am new to HH and got my first -- a Wyeth tote in Cordovan. Is there any specific product that I should use to treat her? I have been reading a lot of the posts about leather care and still am not sure what to use. Lexol? Apple? Lovin My Bags? Please help. I just want to make sure that I keep the bag as lovely as she is. Thank you so much! |

/\ Ditto! I'm pretty new to HH as well, and after trying to read through this thread, I think I'm sort of confused about where to start!
I have an Amethyst Salina, and my new Bordeaux Sloane (and a black Havana on the way) but I'm not sure what steps to take right off the bat to protect them! |

lol I'm not that new and I'm still confused.
Most of mine I just leave alone (most of my new bags are zeus or patents), but I'm definitely going to spray my yam Clara before I use her again. Good luck, hope someone else who knows more than I do can help ya out.

And per Stormy's suggestion, carry small microfiber towels in the bag for wiping if it gets wet! And a huge plastic bag to protect it during downpours. |

^^ I got some microfiber towels from Trader Joe's. They're hanky-sized.

I tested out AppleGuard spray on the bottom of my Emerald Goat Corco, and it was fine, so I went ahead and did 2 coats. She looks great!
So far I've been able to use Apple on all my HH bags except my yam Bungalow. |

Hi, I just received my icp havana and it has a scratch across the whole width of the shoulder strap (I am pretty sure it is a scratch and not a slit in the leather). It is very noticable-it's right on the front part facing the whole world when you carry the bag on your shoulder :( The bag is sold out and can be returned but not exchanged. It is so pretty otherwise that before I return it I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions on fixing/covering up the scratch that will blend in with the patent finish? It is white looking like the colour was scratched out. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

I have searched this thread and not found anything on cleaning an Ibiza. I have one in khaki, and I sprayed it with Cole Haan leather protector when I got it. Now I've used it several times -- it's so great for traveling -- and it's showing some dirt on the fabric part, not on the leather. I'm temped to just use soap and water, but I want to be careful?
Any ideas, Ibiza owners? |

I used my Grey Zeus Sonia tote for the first time yesterday and someone laid a brownie on top on it (it was at a Superbowl party). Now there's a huge stain on where the brownie was. Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of it? I was going to treat it before I use it but I wanted to use it yesterday. Now, I'm kicking myself for using at before I had it treated. Any suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks~

Can anyone help? Rub the spot with cornstarch; if it's oil it will pull most of it out. Unfortunately, you have used the cleaning wipes that contain conditioners and it probably has set the mark permanently. (I'm sure I've addressed this question somewhere, so I don't know what keywords are being searched...) The rule here is First deal with a specific problem, before grabbing a product meant for general care. *now we have grease/ungrease side by side. |

Thanks fafnir. I tried the cornstarch trick and it didn't work. I did end up with whole bunch of cornstarch on the zipper and now I have to try to get that off as well. I hope my dyson can do that trick with attachments of course. Arrrrggggghhhh. I'll keep trying and if I find something that works, I'll make sure to post it. Thanks~

Dang. Sorry, that's the only advice I can remember Stormy giving. I hope you find something that works!
