That's how I feel about this whole shebigbang, syb. I swear I bought nothing..nothing. This just about tears it doesn't it? I don't see anyone breaking down the doors to buy..I don't see a number count next to the ginger conrads which still says 9 left on the email I got..even though we know for a fact a hottie just bought one..I belong to other boards and no one is showing any love for this sale..this is bogus..just bogus..I'd be fuming too....so..my next post from one of my all time faves will continue this movie madness theme..because IMHO..."You're mad as hell and you are not going to take it any more!" |

Every great magic trick consists of three parts or acts. The first part is called "The Pledge". The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a man. He shows you this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course... it probably isn't. The second act is called "The Turn". The magician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something extraordinary. Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it, because of course you're not really looking. You don't really want to know. You want to be fooled. But you wouldn't clap yet. Because making something disappear isn't enough; you have to bring it back. That's why every magic trick has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call "The Prestige".
So...is this what's going on? |

Syb, I'll let you know on my order. As of now, it says it will ship tomorrow. I don't buy that at all. Let us know how you like the Sonia (when you get it). The price is good and if I needed another black bag, I would've been right there with you!

OK..maybe I'll make the possible exception of a Zap!Green Lorca at a killer price..and maybe either the Origami or the other folding morphing HH thingy hobo in Brandy ditto. Ttthattt's all, chica. I was kind of hoping for some surprises from old stock..especially some cuffs or one of a kind finds from samples..something to make my headlights glow..if you KWIM.... hey...it is called the Big Bang..I didn't make it up.![]() Now Fall..that may be problematic.

Gingey, Fall is going to be more than problematic... it will be traumatic. I envision a mad scramble for the Biblio.
So, Syb bought a Sonia. It sounds like others have been diving in the Bay. Maybe we need to start a "True confessions of where I shopped while waiting to shop because I could not shop this sale" thread. I will start. True confession. I bought one bag this week. My first Hudson Satchel in Vachetta. There. That is what I did out of pent up energy. I had to release some. I think we HHHotties are like throroughbred race horses, don't put us in the starting box if you don't plan to release the gate and let us run. |

RMcC..perhaps HH will start auctioning their surplus when they read this..so sssshhh...LOL
Mazal tov on the vachetta..hie ye over to Stormy's thread ASAP. I didn't want to look at it because I am a dirt magnet at times..and just by looking at the listing I would have transmitted some mulch over the internet to land on it. Ah..dear RMcC...I am already circling the wagons, battening down the hatches, locked and loaded, armed for bear..whatever other terms fit the bill.. ITA...the Fall will be calamitous, catacalysmic, catastrophic, pernicious, problematic, traumatic, and out of alphbetical order but probably the most fitting for what I fearfully anticipate will be the state of my wallet and CC balance....just plain ruinous. So in a way, I am not that devastated by the lack of generated excitement..just representationally kvetching..what is know in Jewish liturgy as a "shaliach tzibur"..or a public emissary who pleads the case of the congregation without any personal agenda..and since I publically stated I don't "feel" the Spring collection, I believe that I can be just that. LOL Seriously though, I am nursing my hoard of green (hear me HH GREEN!)... I am biding my time. Comes Fall '09...I know what I want and no..it's not the football either. The throroughbred analogy, apt though it is, my dear heart...left me vaguely queasy...not so much for what is going to happen now..but in the Fall..lord help us... because in the mad dash for the finish..one of us may be hobbled..and like the movie "They shoot horses, don't they"? |

Here's another true confession: Didn't care much for Spring and I'm not all that wound up about Fall either. The Biblio doesn't do it for me and I'll only be interested in the Trophy Satchel if it comes in a non-shiny leather. There's that Gryson looking bag that is kinda interesting...on 75% discount. I don't even remember any of the rest of it, to tell you the truth.
I'm actually more focused on the LP bags in Dark Olive and Purple....can't wait to see the leather IRL. |

I received my one and only purchase from the BB Sale today -- the gorgeous painterly paint ruffled scarf. It is very luxe, being made of actual 100% silk (unlike the gingko scarf). Sorry, ladies, no pics today. Perhaps sometime later this week.
