I seriously don't think any of us will alter our postings, or post less, because of any designer presence. And, if you notice, Toni has only 10 posts showing below her name. She is not holding court on the forum. I for one like it when a designer pops in once in awhile. It lets me learn who they are directly from their words - not from other blogs written about the designer (where you get third person viewpoint). As she said, somone else told her about the comparison thread. And, she is like us, she knows that anytime someone singles out two of something and compares one to the other, that can be the most controversial of discussions... because, inevitably, you will have extreme loyalists ready to participate.

I have never seen anyone on this forum bash any designer relentlessly, ruthlessly and cruelly. I think designers can tell the difference between an unhappy customer venting their discontent and a viscious customer wanting to verbally bash their heads in. So, I wouldn't change your voice any, Minnifer. I've never seen you fall into the "basher" category.

I am looking forward to what shows on the sale today. As I watched movies with my parents yesterday (they're in their 80s and that is about the most exteme activity they like to do in July in Florida) I thought "Maybe HH was making sure we didn't sit relentlessly at the monitor instead of with our families." They still have at least 3 more days to get creative with this sale. I do hope that when Toni said the sales may change next season, they don't totally drop their unique "specials". I know it is easier for a designer to just post a certain % off across the board on their site and let it sit that way, but I kind of enjoy the "ups and downs" in HH prices/discounts. An HH sale is like going to a casino... you never know where the ball will land on the roulette wheel...

Come on now, my dear Gingeybear
Calling me out just isn't fair
For you that is, get out while you can.
By the time I am done you won't be able to stand.

And by that, I mean a chance
Come on Chica- let's dance
You and your shiz
I grew up near 8 mile
This is my biz.

I'm sweet and concise
To the point more precise.
You and your shizzle
Go on like New Yawk drizzle.

Ah dear fiend, it's all in good fun,
But this Big Bang has still not begun!
Sure it has gotten bigger
If you count candles and some sort of spritzer.

While the numbers of products may be going higher,
The prices remain in this stagnating mire.
We need a bang, who's got the fire?
This sale is about to come down to the wire.

Yesterday, I bought me some shoes
Just to cure my shop addict blues.
I'd really like more, this sale is a bore.
Come on HH give us some scores!!!

Obviously, I am not worried about holding my tongue. If Toni is reading this I hope she knows it's all in good fun. I think that designers should check in with their followers to get a feel for what the customer is loving, hating and/or wishing for. I would think they would take anything valuable from our posts that could help them feel out the customer base and ignore the things that do them no good in regard to their business.

Maybe we did get spoiled with all of the sales in the spring, but even the pre-summer sale had a lot of lower prices than this with the 50% off code. Wish I had bought then, but I was holding out for the BB.

FYI-- I just noticed there are more things added to the Twitter sale today, but they're from the Design Shop and the discounts aren't very steep.

I'm still waiting for the surprises that Toni promised. I can't hang here all day. It's perfect weather and I want to go out and play. I noticed the twitter sale..I wish the jewelry from the indie designer would go on sale because it's TDF..so far..I feel like I've been left at the altar.

Maybe they're just waiting so that everyone has a chance to sleep in a little and fight off hangovers from the 4th of July?

WHAT hangover?! I've been following Lulu's advice and cruising the auction sites... just scored me a Black Bowery and Cordovan Sonia. So there.
