I first ordered the brown and after receiving it knew that I had to have it in black too. Weeks later, I sold the brown one to my sister who never carried it as she felt it was much too large for her. She had bought it sight-unseen as she lives in GA and I in NC. I did carry the black bag for a short period of time and later sold to someone who had been desperately searching for it. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but it really was a bit large for me...I think it's the 48 Hr style. For my birthday this year, my sister gifted the brown one back to me and it sits on my closet shelf today...still new and still uncarried.

It may be feeling a bit unwanted. LOL! Having numerous other smaller brown bags in similar styles, there's really no reason for me to carry it. I might eventually sell it in order to have the funds to buy one from their new collection...just can't make up my mind!

Thanks Bag for your answers. I think you should sell the brown one since you have never used it. Are you on the MP? You can try there or ebay I guess. Or, I know that annsfabulousfinds has sold them in the past but they do get a nice chunk from the earnings.

I have been loving the new GD spring line. but i like the midday midnight bags in the crazy colors better then the 24 hr. looooooove the purple! i really do wish they were carried in the US.

I love the midday midnight as well -- except that I own two BE Love Me's, in red and purple. I have asked a friend in London to check at the GD boutique to see if other colors are coming. You know, just in case.

Thanks Judie. More than likely I will sell the brown one providing I don't take a loss...it wouldn't be worth selling it if I had to settle for less. As for consigning ...that's something that I would never opt for considering the percentage they take! Wow! . After this Ebay strike is over, I'll probably take that route or eventually carry it myself.

Bless your heart...you don't know the story, do you?? My nightmare with Rumor and Anooshka started in Aug/07 and didn't end until Dec/07!! The grey bag pictured was GD's lower quality bag which looked to be worth no more than $49.95!! Anooshka wouldn't refund my money because I bought it on sale although on her website, items reduced only by 30% weren't marked as no refund/no return. She agreed to a store credit and in October I applied that credit along with an additional payment and pre-ordered the Gerard Darel Working Girl Havana Hobo which retailed for $750. Needless to say, it never came! Without going into detail, I'll just tell you that after MANY emails and MANY phone calls, I finally received a full refund in December. Never again will I shop there!

I really love Gerard Darel bags! I know that some people find them plain, but I like that they are very understated, without any logos or tacky hardware. I had a 24 hours, but just sold it because I bought a 36 hours

Gerard Darel bags are my favorite! I don't find them plain at all..to me, less is more! I have fallen so much in lust with their S/S 2008 collection that I'm going to sell other bags so that I can afford the 4 or 5 I want.

That's so funny itzme!! Yes, I do have this baaaad habit of putting my new bags on a closet shelf only to visit them occasionally without ever taking them out for a spin!! That will change once (if ever) I get my little hands on the GD bags I want. Considering on average they will cost me $700 each, I must sell at least $2800 worth!! HEHE!! I'll style and profile at the grocery store just to have an excuse to carry them regularly! I kid you not - I can't stop thinking about these bags. At least my focusing on these will hopefully put a stop to my buying bags just because they are on sale. Just today, I received a black Geren Ford Bucket bag that I ordered for $314 from ShopBop and I don't like it!!! I soooo don't like it, but I can't return it since it was a final sale purchase. What amazes me is that the retail on this bag was over $1000!!! NO WAY!!

--Oh yes, I didn't looked closely at your name - I had a similar nighmare but it took me 3+ months to get my money back when I cancelled some pre-orders.
