The only problem with Ignes' Sofia drawstrings is that the slider thingy on the drawstring is really loose. Mine just slide down all the time so I finally just removed it and tied a knot. Not sure how this might factor into your decision, but I thought it might help.

I can't help with your card question as I paid with Paypal, but my guess would be that it depends on your particular bank/financial institution and how tight their security is. It might be easiest to just call beforehand to let them know a Uruguay charge is incoming just in case.

One question about the double drawstring. Will it hold as well as a single, middle drawstring? I think both are adorable.

I like the double. It is actually similar to the set up of the BE TME bespoke photo in Euridice's signature. I've not had the problem GP did w/ the drawstrings, but I think mine was a stiffer/more structured leather than hers. GP- is yours a tinted a leather- seem to think that for some reason... maybe that has something to do w/ it?

^^ I had the same problem as GP - in fact, the leather closure fell off! I have been meaning to email Ignacio about getting another. I tried to tie a knot and it just didn't look right so I am not using it now.

That is really weird. I wonder if it is a tinted leather thing b/c both of you have tinted leathers. Maybe the drawstring starts to get too soft/out of shape to keep the closure on properly?

OKAY! So I got more samples in today and I am seriously SO CONFUSED now :(

Boy, have I come a looonnngg way from end of January...here's where I stand. I want two bags for now, but can only get one for now:

Mini Sofia: silver hardware, Braided handles, drawstring set to middle and lengthened, drop mod to 7.5", zipper added, crossbody strap added and lengthened to an adjustable 21" max.
Mini Gabby: silver hardware, yes to braided handles, no studs, strap to adjust to 21" max.

Now as far as color goes:

Black Nappa main/Black Diamond accent/no contrast stitching/electric blue lining
Glossy Ink blue main/Black nappa accent/black or purple contrast stitching?/electric blue lining
Black Diamond main/black nappa accent/ no contrast stitching/fushia lining

I WAS totally set on black nappa (I need a black, blue and gray purse this year) as my first Ignes, but was blown away by the flashy, yet demure nature of the glossy ink blue. Black Diamond to me is much like a dark dark dark gray. LOL What color combos would you go for, and which purse option?

Great to see that you are getting closer to your dream bag, iranei! You have come a long way...I would say that since the black diamond and the black nappa are close in color, I would do the mini Sofia in the first or last combo that you mentioned. I say this because the contrast panels will be more noticeable on the Sofia than on the Gabby. And the contrasting linings you chose are not only a gorgeous pop of color, but very practical -- it's a lot easier to see your stuff that way!

I like the idea of the glossy ink bag, too, but IMO the purple contrast stitching, while lovely (I Purple big-time) might get old more quickly than the other combos. HTH!

The Mini Sophia sounds so pretty, with the braided handles! I am leaning toward this model, because the mods you are making will make it such a unique bag. I haven't seen any of the newer leathers in person, either, but I will go on record as saying that I'm not a fan of contrast stitching (but that's just me). Hmmmm what will make the final cut! Gettin' down to the wire here.
