I don't. Actually I didn't even think about owning one until the last 9 months when I decided to upgrade. I thought I found a "overstock Prada" which I eventually found out was most likely going to be fake (thanks tpf!!). So, on researching what to get myself of course LV came up. IA with other posters, a $2000 coated canvas- I could get 2 nice leather bags from say maybe Gucci, and I wouldn't be a walking advertisement. I don't mind a little bit of logo or whatever......
I think alot of LV, on the website at least, is too spendy and looks like little girl stuff (i'm ducking my head...)
I will admit I like the looks of the Galliera and there is a wallet or two....

I've never owned any LV bags. Their monogram never really appealed to me.

The only bag of theirs that I thought about purchasing was their Sofia Coppola x LV bag - possibly one of the most beautiful Boston bags I've seen. Unfortunately it's super heavy and also gave me sticker shock. I ended up getting Celine's double dyed boston bag, and it's just as good (if not better) than the LV version I contemplated. It was also like $1500 cheaper.

I personally love LV, but I'm 18 and considering a few of my aunts carry LVs on a day to day basis like the Trevi etc., some of them do look a bit mature-styled if you know what I mean. Not to say they're for "old" people, but it just seems more sophisticated than "fun" and "trendy". They're amazing classics with amazing quality, which is what I adore.. but we can't deny the price tag, which for a uni student, hurts the pocket quite a bit.
I am though, getting the neverfull soon because it fits a lot and the quality seems to be great. I figure it would last me a while. I'm going through about 2-3 bags a year due to carrying heavy loads e.g. laptop, cardigan, umbrella and everyday student loads.

If I were a billionaire I'll probably be investing in Chanel more than LV, I think.

I don't own one and I have tons of bags, Lamb, Dooney, Kooba, Coach, Furla, and other not so known designers. I love how they look but they are waaay out of my price range. I can't see myself throwing $1000 around in a public restroom or sticking it in a drawer at work. Ink pens in them and all that. I purchased a couple of Rioni's and I know that is not a popular brand here but they are excellent quality and remind me of LV. It's just tooo expensive for me with two teenage boys. I hope to one day splurge on one but it would probably be so precious, I would never wear it.

Also there are sooo many fake ones walking around where I am, I would rather carry something that not that many people have bought out of someones trunk so who would notice the difference.

I finally received my Speedy B 35 in damier ebene. It is a nice bag and teh construction is immaculate but is it worth thr price tag? Definitely not!! I like that the DE can be used in all weather, but it is only coated canvas. It definitely doesn't warrant such a high price tag, IMO. This is my most expensive bag yet. I'm still deciding if it's a keeper or not. I will kweep using it and see if it will become a keeper. I do like the style a lot - just that the material used to make it isn't with that much money.

Prior to this my first LV was the Speedy 25 in mono, whcih I received last month and haven't yet used. It's a cute and iconic bag. This one is a keeper as I got it for a great deal and will be using it a lot.

LV has such a prolific image and IMO - it's just meh after seeing the product up close. I much prefer my Pradas.

too many
I have never wanted one and can't imagine wanting one in the future. Coated canvas, logos all over, everyone and their dog has one in my area.

There are a couple of styles that I think are ok but would never buy.
I will stick to leather and no logos.

Edit: I take back the "would never buy" statement. I have bought 2 for my daughter over the years, but only because she just had to have them or she would die.

If u dont count my moms collection as mine then i dont have one. It is just too common and overdone imo. I personally would not buy LV other than EPI line.. I rather spend it on sth more contemporary ie PS

I no longer own LV but I do like some of their styles.
I decided I would no longer pay that kind of money just to carry my things and especially since the company changed their *Made in France* tags. I ended up selling my bags and have bought several Rioni's and I'm amazed at the quality and the prices can't be beat.

Same here! In fact, I'm pretty sure I've never owned a black bag in my life. And I know I've never owned an LV.

The brand just doesn't wow me, at all. And I find it too ubiquitous, too copied, and too self-aware if that makes any sense. The last time I was in Paris, we stayed right around the corner from the flagship LV store, and the sight of all the women treating it as a tourist destination, taking a million photos of the facade, posing in front of the windows, I found it really quite odd. I didn't identify with those women at all.

I don't hate LV, and I've seen some beautifully dressed women with an LV to cap it off and they really looked so polished. It's just not for me.

(Now if someone gave me a vintage trunk... THAT I could get on board with. Literally. )

I really dislike the monogrammed LV bags. Especially the brown ones. Also, I don't like the design of the other bags. The shapes and interior are boring.

I don't have one. reason: I don't like LV and too many fakes out there

commas,
No because they're so easy to fake and the fakes are more similar to the real bags than any other brand which says a lot about the worth of a real LV canvas bag. In contrast, designer leather bags are so much harder to fake since they are better quality and made of more expensive materials

I do like their small accessories though - and I have thought about owning a speedy because I like the shape. But I'll definitely buy it second hand because I don't think it's worth the retail price.

Wow. That is really interesting to learn. Thank you for the update!
