Ok, so maybe I actually did pee a little bit, but when it hits you its kind of freaky.

This is the $900 Morgan Oakley Cayman:

Made of a FULL Cayman Alligator Tail...note the spikes and everything. Whoa.

I was looking around the site because I love her (?) bags and was curious as to why that one is almost double the price of everything else in the collection. I guess thats why. But seriously, notice how you have to wrap it around the base of the bag - imagine buying some groceries or something and having to whip your freaking gator tail in someones face to close your bag. Im still weirded out by, yet oddly attracted to this bag.

Not to sound like a smart a$$, but are you really surprised it's made from the tail of an alligator? It looks like it is to me anyway. Speaking of prices, you should see the Coach 7,000 alligator purse.

Oh my, that is just downright nasty. It would look lovely with one of those fox stoles where the fox's mouth is clamped down on the tail to hold it closed (if you don't know what I'm talking about, they were VERY popular in the 50s, 60s).

Agreed... I feel like it has no design. It looks like it was literally cut off the animal, rolled up, and shipped to the store. Its kind of repulsive looking IMHO. If you love it and can justify the whopping cash for it, then go for it. I just can't see anything special about it.

Eew I know the ones you mean, only because I saw one in a museum exhibit of "things that have been held by customs".

Speaking of the 60's, my grandma used to have a bag made out of an armadillo shell. Yikes. My mom always tells me about how it scared her when she was younger lol.

It was one of those things where I wasn't looking super closely at it and then I thought to myself "It looks so familiar, what is that?" The price isn't outrageous considering what some people will spend on a bag, but when you see something twice the price of anything else on a site you get to wondering.

And yes, I do remember those nasty face-furs. Uck. I'm not totally down with exotics as a whole, but I'm not a fan of fur. Remember that PETA poster that was made to look like Anna Wintour and she (he) was carrying a fox muff that had the entire head placed to face out...scary.

In Marshalls last week I saw a bag that had a lizard head and all 4 legs attached...it was freaky and kind of sad....even DS was grossed out

It looks like a coiled up reptile...it is very ugly. I cannot believe someone would even think to buy it let alone design it!

I though the same thing when I saw it. It is definitely similar to the B. Romanek clutch. Personally, I am not a fan of either this bag or the Romanek bag.
