Falling In Love...
I spilled nail polish (thanks god it was clear) in my LV speedy. It was my first major bag in college that I got as a gift from DH which was DBF back then. I think my heart stopped beating for a minute, I think his did too. Thankfully it was on the inside and did leave a make but nothing life threatening.

I've decided I need insurance on my bags! Just bought a Chanel and the thought of doing anything to her makes me want to cry lol!

- Scraped my black GGH Balenciaga part time along my garage wall
- A ginormous scratch appeared right down the centre of my noix GGH Balenciaga city. No idea how this happened. Poor bag.

I spilled orange juice in my Chanel Bag......the smell was horrid the next day. I still don't carry that bag. I have to send it off to be cleaned.

I sat my purse on top of my car once. I was putting my daughter in her carseat and I was pre-occupied with thoughts from my first ever pediatric visit and wrangling a new baby and all her gear and everything. . . I had that new mom brain fog thing going on.

Anyhow. Drove 30 miles home. Got into the house, and I was like "huh, did I leave my purse in the car?" Run out to car and check inside and nothing. And that's when I realized what happened.

I went inside, CRYING hysterically, (again, new mom. Hormones) and had a message on my answering machine (this was ancient times people, 1997) it was the receptionist from the peds office. Another mom saw my purse fly off the back of my car and took it in.

It was a Dooney and Bourke bag btw. It survived with no scratches or any marks. Those bags were like iron!

This is the best thread ever!

I used to carry the jumbo LV Hampstead tote as a workbag - the bag is HUGE but very sturdy. Once, I took it to a work-related cocktail party - I was carrying it on my shoulder and it kept hitting everyone around me, everytime I turned or moved. I ended up sort of hovering in a corner in an attempt to protect the bag - and my co-workers!

Another time, I was running late and barely caught my sub - well, I was the last one in and the doors closed on the same LV bag!!! I was carrying it on my shoulder, and I was trapped - unable to move, so I had to kind of yank it free from the door - with everyone staring. Well, NOTHING happened to the bag - no scratches, no dents! Those LV bags are well-worth the money - they're practically indestructible!

Was trying to ship a fragile Lucille de Paris snakeskin handbag and the dude helping me was crushing it into a small box. I stopped him before there was too much damage, but dang, idiotic.

I have two.

1. Was carrying my Alexander Wang Rocco (black) and had to sprint through the sprinkling rain (and hugging my bag to death!) making sure the leather didn't get wet! Haha. It probably did, but it wasn't raining that bag at all (just mist, really). I still didn't want anything happening to the leather!

2. I was having drinks with my friends from work and we were doing tequila shots. I spilt some tequila all over my YSL BDJ clutch and freaked out. Luckily it's black and patent leather. I'm still worrying over it!

Several summers ago I pulled a liquified chololate bar out of my LV denim sac plat. Thankfully, it did not leak.

Hi everyone! This is actually my first post to TPF even though I have been reading posts for years.
I had a carmel brown Coach bucket bag back in college (early 1990's) that I used as my school bag. I loved that bag! I had saved my money and bought it myself ($300 was a lot of $$ for a 19yr. old to spend on a handbag back then). Anyway, I had a hair appt. right after class so I had my Coach with me. After I sat down in the stylist's chair I placed my bag on the floor because it was full of books and was too heavy to keep on my lap. So I'm relaxed in the chair as my stylist was coloring my hair and I hear this gasp...he had dropped a glob of hair dye on my beloved bag! He proceeds to start wiping it off only to make it worse. It went from the size of a quarter to this 2 inch smear down the middle of the my baby. There was no way to fix it...it was dye. There wasn't a way to hide it because it was a plain leather bag. I was so upset ...needless to say my appt. was free. Afterward, I still carried the handbag and just viewed the stain as a life lesson...Don't take expensive handbags to hair appts!

I forgot a black pen in my Mulberry Roxanne and now there's two marks on the suede... I know it's only the interior and it's black on black but still it annoys me soo much.

I couldn't stop myself from wearing blue jeans with my Marc Jacobs Stam and of course it got colour transfer. I managed to clean everything but when I stare at it I see a small difference in colour and it makes me sad!
