I've always liked handbags, but my obsession truly took off when I started reading tPF. I don't even remember what was my first tPF inspired purchase -- it was so many bags ago!

actually my bag obsession started when I was eleven ( that was back on the beginning of the 90s) and baught an yellow fake-fur bag at h&m . . . totally girly-tank-girl-style like i said that was 1993 from that moment on I realised what a great accessoire bags are and how they can completly change an outfit. . . so I started to collect strange and vintage bags and of course Ialso bought lots of crap. . . no wonder I was in my teens and fashion was very "crappy" back than

with 16 I started to "invest" in quality pieces, not designer bags but well-known-bag-brands or no-name items made out of high-quallity leather and good craftmenship.

with twenty I gave loads of my bags to charity and sold some to vintage-shops. . . now I don't own so many bags but am as obsessed as ever. . .

I am really happy to find other people who consider themselves obsessed with bags. For me it started with a Ferragamo that I bought in NYC over 10 years ago. There was no going back after that even though Ferragamo didn't turn out to be my designer of choice.

Mine started slowly. Back in 2004/2005 I bought a Cole Haan bag (which back then seemed designer to me, LOL) and that started it. My first actual designer bag was a LV Speedy in 2005 or 2006 and my price tolerance has kept climbing ever since then.

About a year ago. I loved many bags, but tPF kicked it up to a whole other level. I just love them, even if they aren't my style. I get a kick out of the joy everyone takes in reveals.

I've always liked bags, but my obsession didn't actually start until November of last year when I joined the The Purse Forum, and it was a combination of the Purse Forum and just my spontaneous thinking of what bags I needed for work, parties, being hands-free on short trips to adventures, etc. to what bags I simply wanted. Yeah, that's not even a year ago.

i never liked purses when i was growing up, but i always loved bags (backpacks, messenger bags, cases) and organizing stuff. i didn't start liking also purses until about a year ago. i think it's b/c cheap purses are a lot grosser than cheap backpacks.

Aw, I wish I still had my AWL D&B drawstring that my mom got me when I was in the 3rd grade, I don't remember what happened to it but, I do remember that it was beautiful even by todays standards.

January 4, 2007. That's the day that the Ugly Betty episode aired that was co-starring a Gucci bag. I fell in LOVE with that 85th Anniversary Gucci and it became my first designer bag.
