I love MbMJ so I'd go with the Dr Groove bag - I was looking at it on the Saks? website and it's absolutely gorgeous. The RM is very pretty but much simpler than the MbMJ - it's just a completely different style of bag. Just go with the one you don't think you can live without!

Groovee! No offense to anyone else, but IMHO, the RM is boxy and plain, but the groovee has character! I do have a groovee myself, and i LOVE it.

I have both bags that you are considering, and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my Dr. Q Groovee. It is such a great shape & style, and I love the slouchy-ness of it. And the leather is TDF.

They are both nice bags but between the two, I'd like the mbmj!

I have both of these bags and love them both. I think the quality is a bit better on the MBMJ bag and I love the fact it has two strap options. My MABs are a better choice when I am carrying more stuff. A full-size sheet of paper would not fit (without rolling it up) in the Groovee. I carry magazines and other papers around a lot, so I tend to use the MABs more. The handles on the MBMJ are also a bit sturdier, but the MABs do come in some great color options and the new hardware is very pretty. If I had to buy another of either of these bags, it would really come down to what I wanted to use it for, because I like the look of both.

I love he look of he MBMJ but I bought it and returned it. Decided it really wasn't going to be comfortable for me. The shorter straps are tight going over shoulder and I don't care of the longer strap...thought bag hung funny using it. But if you don't mind a bag that's mainly hand carried, it's a nice bag. I haven't had much opportunity to see the Rebecca Minkoff bags but I think if I could get a nice soft leather one (MA), I'd be very interested.

I have both (well sold the MBMJ one) and I chose the RM. I liked the simplicity of the bag.

hey girls! im bringing up this thread from the dead again, because now im debating between the two! im thinking of getting an RM MAM or an MBMJ dr q groovee, but i can't decide!

the colors are similar (both are deep red-ish colors), so its just the style. i like the RM MAM with the cute front flap and the tassles, but i kind of feel its a tad boxy maybe? i dont know how i feel about it. and i love the MbMJ because it's so classic and looks like it would go better under the shoulder than the RM MAM if need be....i'm totally torn between the two...any opinions? thanks!

RM MAM:

(pic is from jc0812, i couldnt find a stock photo of the bag in that color, so i just used her pic :X...its one of the prettiest pics too!)

classic q groovee: (im sorry, i dont know why the pics arent showing up)

Where I live I see much more Groovee bags like all over the place. I believe the leather is much softer than the RM. I can't help you in deciding though as I don't own either but I do like both very much!!! Very tough decision. Best of luck!

Agreed, tough decision but I'd go with the MbMJ.

MbMJ, I think. Shoulder carrying is one of the key factors for me, as it's always good to be able to wear a bag on your shoulder even if you typically carry it on your arm or in your hand.

I know, I have SUCH a hard time deciding!

I prefer the RM because it's got a lovely mix of patent, non-patent and trim leather, and I LOVE the tassles on the zippers and the front flap, and I absolutely adore the floral lining. However I'm worried that it will be too boxy. I already have an MAM also, so I'd kind of feel stupid getting 2 of the same bags, even if they are different colors.

On the other hand, I prefer the MbMJ because it's a lovely shape, and it won't look so awkward if you put it on your shoulder - I prefer to carry my bags on the elbow, but I do transfer to shoulder ever so often, e.g. when I'm squeezing onto a bus or a train and I want to keep my bag close to my body. So I feel it'd be more practical in that sense. And I do appreciate it's simplicity.

I'm totally torn! I love the flair and the detailing of the RM, but I kind of feel that in practice the MbMJ would be less fussy...I'm so undecided! :X
