Default Water resistant handbags?
I loooove my leather bags, but I am always afraid that it will be ruined by rain or water spills. I want to buy a handbag with a material that is (at least semi) water resistant and stylish at the same time. Do you have any suggestions? What materials are known to be (at least semi-)water resistant?

Dont know if they even make water proof leather bags, BUT shoe protectant works well. They sell it at Footlocker or any sneaker store, you spray it on your bag, and you can literally pour a bottle of water on it and it will roll right off!! Great to spray on everything!!

I have a patent Longchamp Legende for days I know it will be raining, and I pretreat all my leather bags w/ Appleguard. I'm a little nuts, so I also carry a folded-up plastic bag inside my bag in case I get caught in a downpour.

Try Gucci with the crystal gg material. Low maintenance and you don't need to worry about stains in case it gets wet. And rain simply rolls off!

I switch to my LSS if it's raining and leave the leather home. :)

Big Buddha makes faux leather bags that are downtown chic. They are really hot right now and waterproof.

We don't have much rain in souther CA but Tod's nylon bags are said to be great for rainy days (very lightwieght too).

Tano leather bags are AMAZING in rain... water just beads and rolls right off of them and dry perfectly normal; love it!

I use my LV's or burberry coated canvas bags on such days. Or a patent leather bag :)

I use my COACH bags in the rain. The siggy print is apparently sprayed to be water resistant. Ive never had a problem with them.

The tinted leathers Ignes uses are amazing - they are smooshy soft and touchable, and water beads right up on them.

Just about any patent leather is a great option too.

I would go for something patent, nylon, or coated canvas.
