UGH! Cousin's in-law actually has a FAKE BAG website!!!

I was floored by this. I was visiting my cousins and their in-laws handed me a business card that had their website to check out. When I asked what they were selling, they said all my favorite bags at a really discounted price. I'm like, OMG! Are you kidding? She claimed them all to be authentic, or that they will come with authenticity card. I didn't say anything and walked away.

I went into their room to get online and see it for myself and not only were they fakes, they were FUGLY FAKES! My cousin knew I was going to do this so she followed me and apologized. Then she asked her in-law if they were really authentic and she responded they had both fake and real! WTF???

I tore up the business card and just avoided them the rest of the time. I told my cousin don't even think about buying anything from them. I'm so glad I don't see them often.

It sounds like you have judged their entire personality based on the fact that they sell fake bags. Fake bags, yeah thats bad, but you avoided them because of that? A bit overkill, IMO.

I avoided coz she was trying to get me to buy from them. I didn't wanna say something that I would've regretted later.

I don't think the OP is necessarily judging their entire personality. It's just the part that they're cheating people out of their money unless if her cousins are advertising that they're selling fake goods. However I highly doubt they are and rather selling them as authentic goods to a number of uninformed customers.

Cheating people out of their money does say something negatively about a person's personality but that's just my opinion.

^^Ya, it was the fact that they claimed the bags to be authentic and asked if I was interested in buying that bugged me. Then later when my cousin talked to them about it they retracted and said the website both had fakes and real bags.

Gray, my cousin and her husband do know that this is illegal and it bugs them. My cousin already ask her in-laws to stop handing out their business cards to people they know.

Wow that is really messed up. If they knew that you loved designer bags and then they told you they were real, then handed you their card....They were going to try to scam you too!

I would have been disappointed and taken aback as well. I think the worst part is that they are lying about the bags being authentic.

Just politely explain that you don't support smuggling and child labor, so you aren't interested in their products and move on. They will get their comeuppance but you aren't the right party to dole that out, so don't get stuck on that. The wheels of justice turn slowly but surely and the powers that be will do their thing. If it really irks you, you could always help the MAN out and give him a phone call...

One of my old coworkers sold fake bags. Yes, that does make her a criminal, but it didn't make her evil and not worth talking to.
