Default Summer, Winter

How many bags do you rotate in summer and winter. I have been trying to thin my collection and buy/keep useful bags. I have so much money sitting in a closet and was hoping to get away from that.

I now have my azur speedy, its just for bright spring days, and for summer use.
My mini lin I dont think i' going to part with ever because its the lightest bag going, not worried about fall rain or winter snow.

I have a black leather HH bag, that i'm on and off the fence about.

I have my gold signature tote from coach, that i'm starting to waffle about, i have been using it more for a summer bag then anything.

I have my pink denim which i dont use anymore (selling)but its just spring and summer.

I also have my blue denim that hasnt seen the light of day in a yr, It was just an occassional bag to be used anytime (good weather of course)*may sell*

Oh and my newest coach, leather chili carly. For sure a fall winter bag that I'm sure is going to get a lot of use this yr.

Do you have good weather seasonal bags along with anything seasonal bags?

My bags are all leathers except for one nylon Coach hobo and various colors. I carry them year round. I try to not buy what I think are seasonal bags such as suede, fur and straw.

My main summer bag is a gucci canvas tote with white trim. I love canvas for the summer because it is so light and the white trim is perfect. I don't carry my black leather bags much in the summer and I use my blue balenciaga year round.

My main summer bag is my Coach legacy straw tote. The straw really can't get wet from rain in the winter season. Well, I mean it CAN, but it shouldn't. Other than that, I regularly rotate my bags and use them in all on a normal basis all year long.

I have more spring/summer bags than fall/winter.

My fall/winter ones must be able to survive rain & snow and still look good. I have a black Tods Paro bag and a brown Furla that meet those requirements.

Spring/summer is when I carry my lighter coloured bags-pink, white, baby blue and purple. I have some exotics (croc, ostrich and snakeskin) that I bring out on sunny days with no rain in the forecast.

Because I am in Canada I refrain from buying light colour bags yet I have one and I never used it. All my bags are leather or suede and I'm seriously thinking of selling my beautiful YSL (just too heavy) and my Balenciaga.

I only have one canvas bag, a pink Coach and I haven't used it the past summer or two because it's looking kind of worn. And that's why I haven't bought anything but leather since...

I use all my other bags in rotation, depending on my mood and what I'm wearing. I have a few that I tend to use only in the summer or winter due to something about the size or color. I have a Coach bag in bright lime green that just seems out of place in the winter, and a Gryson Sophie in Espresso that seems to "heavy" for summer.

Just out of curiosity -- which black HH bag are you on the fence about?

I do have a definite seasonal rotation for my bags. Some of them could be year 'round, but I keep to the seasons.
It seems to be mostly by color. Black, brown, and bronze metallics are for fall/winter. For spring/summer, I have turquoise and fuschia and one multicolor fabric bag.
Of course I have a basic black for the warmer months as well, but it is fabric. (Dooney signature)
I love switching off bags for the seasons- getting them out of storage and ready for wear is almost as much fun as decorating for Christmas!

I have certain bags that can do any season: black Balenciaga city, monogram LV speedy 30, monogram LV cabas piano, large signature large black Coach hobo, large sig large brown Coach hobo, black Tano clutch, large brown Tano 'amanda playwith'

My seasonal pieces: Small Coach watercolor hobo (which I haven't used yet in 2008 ), small Coach white leather hobo (strictly summer - yet another bag that hasn't been used in 2008), Burberry pouch clutch (summer).

Hey, anilu......I do the same because it really doesn't matter here in southwest Florida. I only think about seasonal when it comes to our rainy season, and then I switch to patent leather or a leather that I don't care about if it gets wet.

I have a couple of seasonal bags (one is pony so that is a winter bag, one is straw so that is summery, a few really bright bags) but most of my bags stay in rotation year round. Like Florida, we don't have a whole lot of winter going on here, and my main concern for the most part is whether a bag can get wet or not!

I live in the bay area CA
so I also wear my bags all year long.
and like COMPASS ROSE the only time I dont use all of them would be during the rainy season,
and during those wet days I use my LV Damier and Epi, and other leather bags.

Up until a few weeks ago I had all year round bags, mostly neutral colors, although I do have a small dark red coach that I can't bear to put away in the summer.

I just bought a white bag, and I've heard about no white after labor day... is this still true? Why is there a "winter white" color if you're not supposed to wear white during the winter?
