Wondering if TPF ladies have experience with Roots leather bags; they're made of italian leather & made in Canada & look interesting on their website. I'm considering the Sidesaddle bag in chocolate leather. thanks in advance.

I was just in Vancouver. I saw Roots clothes and bags everywhere! I'm considering a bag myself. I love the look! I went into a Roots store and tried a couple of bags on. Them seem really nice, but I don't own one yet so can't tell you if they hold up.

I've owned a Roots messenger bag for years (and I mean something like 10 years). It's made of thick pebbled leather, and after having been used for all these years, it looks brand new. Seriously. I have no idea how they made this thing, but it is indestructible.

Roots bags are really gorgeous, comfortable, well made and stylish. The price point is great as well. As a Torontonian, however, I must say that EVERY single woman here seems to have one! So, I personally resist the urge.....

I have a custom made Roots bag that I got about 5 years ago; I absolutely love it. The leather is thick and sturdy and it will last a lifetime.
