i'm half way through the book, how do you know he worked at nordstroms? it only calls the store he works at as "the big fancy". he does say the store is known for its customer service...nordstroms is known for that.

Look on the back inside cover and on the last page where they go into more detail. He worked at Nordstrom for fifteen years. I found his website, if you look around, you will see Cammie, who's name is Vanessa on his site retailhellthebook.com. http://www.retailhellthebook.com/page/4/

So, he's doing book signings in SoCal right now, where he worked. And he makes a reference to signing very near his store, in Glendale. Has anyone gone to handbags in Nordstrom in Glendale and asked about him? Oh and on his site he has a picture of the Nordstrom in Glendale and says "My former place of employment in Glendale. That's all I'm sayin'."

He says he changed some things to protect the innocent (and guilty), I'm wondering if Mount Fancy is true (eight flights of stairs the employees have to climb each day).

I know a few people who have worked for nordstroms but never heard them complain about the mountain of stairs LOL

I could have used that coupon! I paid the full $22. price at Borders because I just had to read it.

Thanks for the recommend. Have to get this book. Just saw the video. Looks just like my local TJs and Marshalls. I never go there anymore without hand wipes and sanitizer.

I just realized I have to go spend $20 on printer ink, to print out the coupon to save $10!

The coupon is only good for Borders Rewards members.

I do have a rewards card, but I was getting inundated with Borders emails and unsubscribed them. I've been getting all my books lately through Amazon. Even with occasional coupons from Borders, Amazon prices (and the ease of ordering, free ship) have them beat. 40% off is definitely worth the trip though. And, it'll be nice to just browse actual books. I do miss that.

I reserved it at my library, it is currently 'out' which I guess is a good thing--I am not alone in the fashion world out in the boonies.
