Default Recs for purple XL tote? (18" x 6 to 8" x 10 (wide) - 14" (tall))

I've been trying to decide whether to purchase the Amethyst Goldenblue Parker Weekender. It's on sale on their site for $415. I have a no-name cream leather bag that has those dimensions that I love -- its big enough for all my work materials, with plenty of room to put my dog in it, too -- but I've been dying for a bag this size in purple, I'm not sure whether there's a better choice than the Goldenbleu that I just haven't found yet. I'd be willing to go up to $600 - 800 (or even a bit more) if there were something amazing that I just hadn't found.

Any recommendations? BTW, am not particular about the shade of purple, although I tend to prefer the purples on the pink side rather than the blue side.

If you are near a Nordstrom or can call one-they had this tote in a beautiful purple leather. I saw it, but it was too large for me-for what you want it for it would be great. They don't show it in the purple on the website anymore-so try to have a store hunt one down for you and send a photo of it to you.

What about the Hayden-Harnett Havana Hobo in Eggplant?
The measurements are 19 inches wide by 14 inches high (with the top flap folded down) and about 5 inches deep, but expands based on how much stuff you put in it.

I just found this bag on Luna Boston which reminded me of your post:

The description makes me want to purchase one myself!

This is tPF member HOKKA's modelling picture that she posted of herself in the thread "Hayden Harnett Havana Hobo: Model Wanted" thread of herself wearing her Eggplant Havana Hobo so you can judge the size. I hope she doesn't mind me posting this; it just looks so fantastic on her! I have this bag as well (and I am only 5'4" and it is not too big at all) and it is the PERFECT hobo as it accomodates anything you put in in and THEN some more, but doesn't look saggy or rediculous if it is not full:
