Thanks, betnyp! Funny thing.......was on Marco Island today and a woman nudged me and said, "don't know what the bag is that you are carrying, but I love the style and color.....where did you get it???" I loved that. So, I told her the synopsis of the whole ordeal. She thought it looked a lot more expensive than it was worth, in her words......it really is a great bag. Loved the compliments. Now, I think I want the red one, and i will pay full price for it. It won't break the bank!!!

Compass Rose, I think Hype has so many lovely styles, but it doesn't seem to be talked about much on here. Who is/are the people behind Hype?

Passerby: I don't know their history, but about 3 years ago or so I saw Hype handbags at our Saks 5th Avenue at the Bell Tower Shops in Ft. Myers, and I drooled over every one they had. The reason I like them is, of course, the leather is very "substantial" for a lack of a better word. I mean, even the leather on their smooshiest bags don't feel like you could poke your finger through it. Hard to describe. And I love the hardware. Chunky....not skinny. Perfect stitching, too. I believe the style that I bought at the time was "Alexa", and I bought a black satchel and a red barrel because I couldn't choose between them. Yeah, I don't know why there isn't past discussion on this designer because they are good. I might compare them to Cole Haan, and I like them too.
