i love the bal step or brief when i wear mad men-type clothing. both are most structured, but still edgy. i choose the city because it is incredibly lightweight and functional.
are you going for RH or GH? GH bags tend to look more structured, imho whereas RH have that serious rock vibe. |

Wow! Thanks for all the inputs everyone! I am now leaning towards the balenciaga city (although I am open to checking out the part time, twiggy and brief - since I'm only 5'2 and afraid that it would be too big and overwhelm me). Or, the mulberry bayswater or east west.
I guess I'll decide in a few days!!Ü |

Hmm... what beautiful bags you've picked! This is a tough one.
I think for your style I'd have to say the Mulberry. Bal is gorgeous but personally I think it'd look a bit off with your wardrobe (I'm still out as to whether one will be able to wear it in ten, twenty years time, too). You sound like a very elegant woman indeed and I think the Mulberry in Oak would compliment this better than the City would. Absolutely adore the LV Alma MM but I think if you're getting something new, you should get something completely new and different from what you own! |

but, i think there is a blessing in not being able to afford everything you want. Makes you edit your thoughts, differentiating needs and wants with a stricter benchmark.anyhow, I do opted not to buy the Pomme Vernis, since I already got a Amarante Alma MM. So, I am left with Balenciaga or Mulberry. In the end, I suppose I have to buy what makes my heart leap once I see THE bag. The worst thing that can happen though.. is, if my heart leaps twice! oh where is my fairy godmother when I need her??? |

I love my Mulberry but agree with the others it maybe to heavy. go for the other versions of it. I think the a Mulberry would go better with your style and than a LV.

guys, i saw in a different thread (Balenciaga vs. Bottega Veneta) wherein people thought that Bbags were better for younger people. This makes me worried. I am nearing my 30's and i feel old already! Does this mean the Balenciaga is not a wise investment for my age?
The only "old" woman i've seen with a Bbag is Madonna. And I'm nowhere her style. I usually take fashion inspiration from Nicole Kidman/Reese Witherspoon/Ivanka Trump's style. |

I don't think Bal is only for young people. It was just BV looks a lot more conservative than Bal, if compare the two.
