^^oops! - not a good idea, IMO ... they are not equivalent.
I am still surprised... what will you wear with black shoes in the winter... even in LA? Perhaps you already have something. Ferro goes beautifully with the darks/blacks and with the ivory/cream/beige that I see in your reveal pics - a beautiful contrast.... oh dear - what a dilemma! Perhaps you could do as some suggest - wear it only when your DH is not accompanying you... |

It is so interesting to me that he doesn't like ferro, it seems like such an neutral color to me. I didn't think anyone could dislike it. I am carrying my ferro Roma today and all husband has said is "can you move that big bag of yours!".

ssc0619, kassandra - it is surprising. what is there not to love about the ferro? i would definitely miss it if i gave her up. at the same time, i hate the fugly face.
baggiana - the ferro is a perfect color, and IMO great for LA when you sometimes don't want to be in all black all the time. i am not a bright color person so ferro works well for me, just not for the DH. he is pretty particular, even when he doesn't say anything, because HE knows how much i love the bag, i know. kroquet - i would love a cabat, but my DH did not like the reflect :( and had a more violent reaction against it than he does to my wearing the ferro. however, i totally recommend YOU getting one soon as it seems to be on the brain. (is that too enabling?). baggiana is right, the cabat and the new pyramid don't replace one another although the ottone sloane and the ferro new pyramid might :). (NOT in appropriately soliciting your beauty by the way, just saying how much i love the ottone sloane and hope one will pop up for me one day....) |

Doloresmia, I got the same problem with you.. my DH HATES grey with everything... (car seat leather, clothings, bags, shoes...count them all!). Personally I like the ferro, but I seldom purchase bags with grey. I do own a lot of stuff with grey color but not in bags... Maybe my DH's strong opinion has influences me in some ways. My DH doesn't common on my bag often unless he thinks that is truly ugly.. Eventually I might sell it in one day.

I sometimes think its important to take your own stand when it comes to a bag since it is so personal and reflects us in many ways.
But if your partner really dislikes it, I probably wouldn't wear it with them or I would part with it. |

When my DH first saw my Balenciaga he thought they were butt ugly.
![]() That is not a reason in my mind to get rid of a bag. Now months later he thinks they are so chic. Even if he did not, they are my bags to wear, and while he has an opinion, he should be gracious and keep it to himself, which he has since after I asked him what he thought. He never states an opinion of my bags unless I ask.

Baggiana - you are the true voice of reason. D - I would also strongly recommend an SO in Ottone. Would be perfection.

baggiana - i don't have a reflet on its way to me. DH saw the pix and said eww. i think if he saw it IRL he might like it more, but could not take the risk for that money. the piece on its way to me is an etoupe birkin 35 - my other grail!
kroquet - i would love to SO an ottone piece, but i have to lay low for a little bit to absorb the birkin that is on its way to me. :) gina - i thought ferro would grow on DH, but a year later, no such luck. itsmyworld - more power to you babe! |

My DH doesn't even notice what I carry - but if he did notice it and didn't like it, well I could care less
