well......so i went into a Marshall's store a few weeks ago, on the hunt for a decent but not crazy-priced purse...something roomy, more satchel-like in shape than anything i own.

WHOAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! what do i find but this GORGEOUS

, i mean crazy beautiful, soft buttery leather purse that fits my fantasy.......with NO TAGS whatsoever on it.

i KNOW how this store gets when you bring them something that has no tags.......but it was going to be worth the difficulty.

it took half an hour for the sales associate to come back, and in her hand was an orange and obviously not even LEATHER purse, sort of similar in shape, but definitely NOT the same brand.

i spoke up.....said whoa, i don't think they're the same......it was late, the sales person i was working with was cranky, she looked at me and said are you going to take it or not?

i said "how much is it?", assuming it would be many MANY dollars!

"you're in luck" she said: "it's on sale"....."that will be $13.95".

HUH??????

i took it. i cuddled it all the way home! i mean this is LOVE!!!! THEN, at home, i find the imprint on the inside of the bag, on the zippered pouch, and it says "ABRO, made in Italy".....so i find the website. now i admit i don't know how all this stuff works, seeing on here that y'all say it's a german made line, but HOLY MOLEY!!! (i promise, no more smilies...lol)...i found the purse on their website.......going price, before it hits like TJ Maxx or Marshalls?......$1,595!!!!!! and on here i see some of you saying you got it for like $70 , marked down from $600 or $700 .

did i hit the jackpot or what?

cool and weird stuff like this usually doesn't happen to me. yes, i've decided to accept it as a gift from el universe-o.......i am NOT going to take it back and say "uh, excuse meeeee, i think there's been a mistake here...." or should i? NAH. i have spent a lifetime worth of moola in marshalls.....and it was , basically, their error: it's not like i stuck a $13 price tag on it!!!!

man, now i will be on the look out all the time for Abro bags.....i would definitely spend the 60 or 70 dollars for one.......they are soooo beautiful.

I couldn't locate their site, just another site that sells them. Quite a variety of styles.

Oh, I see Abro bags on occasion at my Marshall's, and I happened to get one on clearance last Spring for a really cheap price. I wore that bag a great many times this past Spring and Summer, and I still can't believe the quality and workmanship that goes into these bags. So, I know you got a great deal, there! Quality doesn't have to be expensive. Congrats!
