i have been stalking all of the goldenbleu threads and i think that i want to pull the trigger on a clutch (especially w/ the tiffany sale, or the 30% off PURSEBLOG code). i'm torn -- mercedes or tiffany? and once i decide that, amethyst patent or carbon patent? decisions, decisons! i'm literally sitting here w/ all 4 in my cart (yup, i'm a cart squatter).

I bought both! The Mercedes is just sassy and the Tiffany is a bit more laid back. I like amethyst...

thanks! this is the same problem i had when deciding on the color of my car. black, dark grey, silver ... options-schmoptions, i cared more about the color.

My friend has the Emerson in Amethyst Patent and it is not only absolutely gorgeous, but the most PERFECT CLUTCH ever made! So easy to use, so classic! I love how it folds over and opens up with a simple metal clasp. I have it in Carbon patent, (which I bought full price last fall for $399) and ordered it in amethyst yesterday because of the fabulous discount they're having specially for us tpf-ers. 30%, freaking THIRTY percent!! The Emerson came out to only $125! Now I'm also thinking about the Margot metallic perforated chrome, which I noticed is now only $119 + 30% off. What do you guys think??? After that and something else, I am so on ban, promise!

And sorry can't post pics - my camera is broken!

I almost bought an emerson in amethyst at neiman during their last sale... it was what got me into goldenbleu, actually. I totally adore the foldover design, but I'm not a fan of gold hardware, so I passed on it. But since I couldn't stop thinking about that yummy amethyst patent, I ended up with the tiffany instead.

Anyway, as promised earlier, here are pics of the tiffany in amethyst. (except that the lighting in my place sux and the mirrors are poorly positioned for modeling pics, and I happened to be wearing a purple dress today which is not the best backdrop for a purple bag, and I SWEAR my calves are not that big in real life... ) Hopefully someone else will have better pics to post soon.

Anyway. The closeup pic is the best representation of the color - definitely more of a reddish-purple (yay!) than a blue-purple. SO gorgeous -- goldenbleu really puts everyone else's purple patent to shame.

In fact, I'm so in love with this exact shade, that I think this might be it for me and purple patent bags of any kind for a long while. (So much for that RM Market tote in purple patent!)

For anyone who might be on the fence about the tiffany style in general, the last pic is everything I carry in it: full-size HH clutch wallet (!), sunglasses, cell phone, lipgloss, ipod, earphones, and keys. There's room for plenty more than that, actually - I've only got it about 2/3 full in that pic.
