I don't know what Gucci yet. If I got either one I would prbably get the mono.

I would say go with a style you love and don't worry about the brand. Both gucci and LV make nice bags and both have been around for ever and will always be around. I own both brands and love them both for different reasons.

While I personally don't like LV and Gucci, given the choices, I would go with LV.
However, I think that ultimately you should get the bag you love, regardless of what brand
it ends up being. There's nothing like carrying a bag you're in love with!

In that case, I think the LV would be better, because the canvas is coated. Most of the Gucci mono bags are just plain canvas. I think Gucci does make some coated ones though.
