Default Longchamp Le Pliage - machine washable?

Okay, so one of my Longchamps (one in a light colour) has got a small ink mark on it. A friend of mine told me that I should wash it, and she even claims that it is machine washable. Does anyone know if this is true? And did anyone ever try washing theirs in a machine?

Thanks in advance

I was just in Longchamp today buying 2 Le Pliages and under no circumstances should you put it in the washing machine. You'll totally ruin the leather. The SA said to use a mild soap, warm water and a nail brush to remove most stains. I would call the Madison Avenue store for more information before attempting to remove something like ink, though.

Thanks, Janos614! I figured it could never work because of the leather.
