I just purchased this Kale Lyndon in Barolo red from BlueFly and am on the fence as to whether or not I should keep it or send it back. Any input would be appreciated!
I love the bag, it's an absolutely gorgeous color! The leather is nice and soft, it has the perfect drop size, nice looking brass hardware and gives a great slouch. Not to mention, the fuchsia suede lining is TDF! It also sits very comfortably on the shoulder. However, I wonder if I should send it back or trade it in for another color (such as indigo blue) because I already have several bags in this color family and really do not need anymore, they will likely sit unused if I keep this one. Problem is, I love this one so very much it's hard to part with it now. And why did I purchase another 'red' bag you may ask? Well, the picture of the bag on the website actually looked like an eggplant purple. But the color was stated as Barolo red. So I spoke with BlueFly customer service and since she couldn't say for sure which was correct, the picture or the description, she offered to ship the bag to me for free and if it was red then they would pay for return shipping charges and give me free shipping on another purple bag if I found one. Win win, right? Problem is, now that I have it in my hot little hands I've gotten attached to it. The color is so pretty and it's so comfy..and well now I'm back to square one. What would you do? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My 15 year old daughter modeling the bag. ![]() My bags in this color family - not the most flattering angle of the Kale in there but you can see the repetition in color. ![]() Linda |

I definately see what you mean with the same color family but truthfully the new bag is the best looking of the bunch. I would keep that one and sell off the others especially since you love it so. If you get rid of it you will regret it. I mean think about it how many black bags do people own? They each have their own style and work with different outfits. I am a LV girl and mostly all of my bags are mono. Styles are different of course but they are still mono but what I can wear with one outfit I cant with another. Just something to think about
Good luck with your choice but I vote for the new one!

To help matters, here it is in Indigo Blue - I really don't think the stock pictures do these bags justice.
And I am also attaching the pic of the bag that was listed in the Baloro red description. As you can see it looks purple but the bag came and it's certainly red! Linda edited to add additional photo |

It is a gorgeous bag! However, considering you have similar colored bags, I would say get the bag in navy ~ which is my favorite color for fall!

I LOVE the color of this bag!! It is soooo rich and I just adore the shape of it. If I were you, I would keep it and sell the RM. Than again, that is just me.
I think it all depends on what you shape you prefer. I love the Ignes and the Kale the best out of your reds. I looked on BlueFly and it looks like the red is all sold out. I say, keep it! |

If you love the color and the shape, then maybe sell one of the other bags that you're not so in love with.

I think the one you just got is spectacular! If it were me, I would keep that one and keep the Inges and sell off the Coach and RM. The Coach will probably go well on the bay in another month or so when ladies start getting fall bags and the RM should have a good resale value. I also think this bag would be gorgeous in the blue but you seem REALLY happy with the red!

I would keep the Kale and sell the Coach (everyone has Coach-the others are more rare). JMHO! Good luck!

Thanks everyone so much for your input and please keep it coming!
Here is a picture of it with my Ignes bag, this style if called the Mini Sophia and the leather is raspberry - I could not part with it, I love it so much! But I think it's a great idea to sell both the Coach and RM - though they are both used so I don't know how much they'll bring in, I am not using either of them right now and prefer these bags to the both of those. ![]() I went ahead and ordered the Kale in Indigo from BlueFly but I don't know that I'll love it nearly as much as the red. I just have this thing for burgundy, I think I might need outside help. ![]() Oh and just for reference, I also bought this bag in brown - it was a less expensive version and when the bag came (along with the red) I was very disappointed in the leather on this one. It was thinner, more pebbly and had wrinkles that I didn't think were flattering So the chocolate is most definitely going back. Just wanted to give a heads up here to anyone that might be considering it in another color, I wish the chocolate brown was as soft and supple but it's not. In fact, I'll attach a couple pics just for reference - Linda |

What a beautiful pic of the two bags!! I am soooo happy you are keeping her. I just love the color, leather, and the shape soooo much. It's also a bit different from the Ignes, as it has more wine hues and the Ignes has a more berryish tone. So, they aren't exactly the same. Let us know what you think of the indigo blue once it arrives. The stock pic looks dull, but could be so much prettier in person. |

LindaP, I say keep the Kale in Barolo Red ~ its color is GORGEOUS, and I agree with kings_20 ~ its color differs from your Mini Sofia. If you're not using your Coach, I echo what TigerKitty says about putting it up on e*bay in a month or so. Do you use your RM much? The RM wine is a highly coveted leather...would you rotate between your Kale, Ignes, and RM? If so, I say keep the RM. All three styles are distinctly different, and if you rotate between the three, they will all last so much longer.
Keep in mind that my suggestion comes from a collector-perspective, which is not necessarily practical. |

![]() Kings_20, you bet I'll let you know about the Indigo! I love to take pics. :) The stock pics look so boring, I had all but made my mind up to return the bag before it even got there....then I saw it in person and fell in love with it! I also have the RM Nikki in Navy Luxe on pre-order but heck, I could get two Kale bags for the price of that one. Not that I need two of them, lol. Linda |

Ah, eggplant, OK then...how do you feel about selling this one as well? I can totally relate to shoulder-bag preference over hand-held bags.
Your new Kale is beautiful ~ this is definitely a keeper!!! And the fuchsia suede lining is TDF!!! ![]() |

I actually prefer the Kale to the Nikki. I like the details on the Kale a lot more and like you said, it's a lot more affordable. The shape is kind of similar to the Nikki and the Kale has a zipper which you prefer. I just really love the Kale, and I hope that you keep it. If not, let me know :)
