Another Californian here; I don't know if that's why I feel this way or not, but sure, I'd wear a white bag in winter! I consider it just a different kind of neutral, that's not commonly worn because it can get so dirty in rainy/snowy weather.

To me, it's more a matter of the fabric being appropriate, than of color--for example, I wouldn't carry a straw bag or canvas tote in the dead of winter, because it clearly looks out of season. However, I will carry my bright white, heavy leather Prada hobo, because it will really pop against my black wool coat!

I really like the look of white bags in winter & of course, warm weather but am worried that it would be impractical for daily use. What do you think of white/off-white, especially in the winter? I live in the South, so winters are mild & usually dry.

Here's the bag... anyone ever heard of CarShoe handbags? I'm not crazy about their logo (literally, a tire!) but they are owned by Prada and there is some appeal to the fact that they aren't widely distributed or instantly recognizable. And the leather & craftmanship is TDF!

Ladies, help me decide... Yay or nay on this?

I like it...I also like the idea of white bags in the winter although I've never had the courage to wear one...I however live in the northeast so I guess it's understandable.

I don't think it matters, especially in warmer climates. I'd never buy a white bag because I'm a clutz, but that's a totally separate issue! Cute bag.

i love it and i totally disagree with that rule. i even wore white skinny jeans with a tunic sweater for thanksgiving :)

I don't think the white rule applies to handbags. Personally I don't think ANY rule applies to handbags other than you have to love them. LOL.

Just make sure to buy some good protectant and be careful in the kind of weather/place you are bringing it.

I think all the white rules are pretty much out the window nowadays. Wear what you like!!! I prefer winter white myself....that's just my own personal tastes. But your bag is cute. I'd keep it if I were you.

That's a nice handbag. I think white is great for winter if it's a "winter white" or a little darker than a summery white-white.
