Is cream or white okay for fall / winter

I actually think this is a typical summer line (wanted one to bring on my fathers sailing boat), but it depends on the outfit.. I wanted the Pampelonne with the rope as a handle, which of course makes it even more "summery", but if it's a regular speedy it could look really cool!

I know I got kinda lost along the way here, but in winter - nothing looks cooler than white/pale blue to match the season!!! Wear it and look gorgeous, darling! I know I'll envy you

I like to wear my white MK bag during the fall/winter seasons when it is the perfect compliment to the colors I am wearing. Dark colors and dark neutrals make white pop!

If it's not a stark white I would like ivory or chalk or cream. I think it brightens up the winter colors a little.

humm, i am deathly afraid of white bags, because im certain that i will get them dirty. with that being said, i wouldn't wear a white bag in the winter. i like more fall-ish colors like plum or light brown. im from the northeast so the weather's very unforgiving during the winter time.

but if you live in somewhere warm and sunny like CA, then go for it!

I wouldn't.. especiallt with a white coat.
The problem is that The Damier Azur is more of a cream colour - when put against the white, I would feel as if my Azur looks really dirty...

But that's just me...


But staying on topic.. I would love to wear white leather bags in the winter - but being in Canada that is like killing your bag - with all that salt and dirt and snow...

I would really love to... maybe I should try it this winter.....

Same here...I have the luxy Faridah hobo in chalk with matching zip clutch and I actually purchased them when I was wearing my FAVORITE J.Crew lady day coat in ivory (sea salt I think is the actual color)! I love this coat so much that I considered it for my latest bag purchase, the Burberry novacheck medium tote with patent nickel straps! Either one will be carried during the winter here in Chicagoland for moi...I think that "winter white" is so different from shades of white in fabrics or leathers (like patent) that are more summery.

I've never carried a white bag, but I just bought one in chalk. I agree with the others; the brightness of the white makes a difference, if you live in a freezing cold climate. Here in California, no one cares.

i love wearing white in the winter. especially against either a really pale, pastel color or a dark, deep color! it looks tdf!

yes i would definitely wear a white handbag if it worked well with the outfit, i don't care what time of the year it is! i am in the south too...but i find the "no white after labor day" rule to be very outdated!! i think it is silly...who made up that dumb rule anyway?

My ettiquette book mentions, that today there no rules with white. Handbags are ok. The labor day rule, no white after, is SO out.... You can wear white all year around, No linen clothing in white during winter though.....
