^^^ duranie70, you need to ask Ignacio which leather is most suitable for the Virginia before deciding...some leathers are better suited to specific styles than others.

Goodnight!!!

I also have a few patent samples that I believe are already posted and well represented but they are too dark without the flash in this storm and too washed out with the flash. I can try to post those later if anyone wants them (Patent Gray, Patent Red, Patent Wine, Patent Dark Purple).

Picture attached has (clockwise starting at top left: light gray, navy, raspberry, whiskey, red, tinted wine, purple, dark gray).

Hello babyblue4,
I would like a midi sofia mixing two leather colours. Do you think the purple and tinted wine leathers could be mixed ( if they are the same quality or if one is rougher than the other)? Are they soft leathers? I have to put a leather with consistence to avoid the bag puddle.
TIA

Hi newbaglover! I've seen both the purple calf and tinted wine and they are different types of leathers. Your question about mixing leathers in the same bag will be answered best by Ignacio, as he has first hand knowledge about Ignes leathers and visits the tanneries on a regular basis.

I think it's interesting what a difference the type of leather makes on a bag, the Sophia looks like an entirely different bag almost. The soft silver with blue is lovely!

newbaglover--Sorry I did not respond sooner. This is the first time I logged on the last few days! I am looking at these 2 leather swatches (purple & tinted wine) right now and they seem close to the same as far as "softness." The tinted wine has a little more sheen to it. I would definitely advise you to talk to Ignacio though since I am not a leather expert and he will know if this combo will work.

In my personal opinion of the shades together---> I feel like they are both dark rich colors but definitely don't clash. That being said, if you do a 2 tone do you want more color to 'pop' and be more strong? Because you won't get that with these 2 mixed in my opinion. They are both very gorgeous colors but I'm not sure about the 2 together. I don't have a great vision for that though so again Ignacio is your best resource.

Hope that helps and by now you might have already moved on to other color schemes so sorry for my delay. If you are like me, you have switched your color options 100s of times.

Good luck with your decisions and keep us posted. In the end go with what you love and listen to Ignacio and you can't go wrong. I would love to see the bag you choose.

ETA: Wow! That silver blue sofia posted above is gorgeous!

duranie70, I love all three colors!!! Have you decided? Also, Ignacio is back from his honeymoon!!! Now you can discuss your color choices with him for the Virginia or any other designs of which you are interested!!

The two bottom leathers on each end are plain nappa in supple leather.

Dsk, the ligth blue at the left bottom corner could be the petrol blue? I think it reminds me of the colour at the ignes web...

Two shades of brown Ignacio recently shared with me - the Ormala in a lovely shade of dark brown and the Virginia in 'chocolate' which to me looks like black.
