Default How is the quality of Michael Kors metallic leather?
Is it durable, or will it start to flake? TIA

IDK about the long-term but I saw the Astor gunmetal tote at Dillards the other day and thought it was very lovely. The leather seemed thick/durable and the metallic color uniform and not powdery.

Oh phew! lol!! I got the MK Fulton logo clutch in Gunmetal. It has matching metallic dark gray leather. I'm so glad to hear the leather is superb/excellent. I was worried what will happen to the leather over time (don't want to lose that sheen/sparklyness XD). But I'm relieved that it's good.

Default Thanks to all who replied!
I'm considering a metallic finish and was a bit worried that the leather would crack or peel over time.

You all have made me feel much better about it. Thanks!!

I suppose it could happen, but I've yet to see one peel or crack. I say go for it

I had a gold metalic south beach which I had for a while, it never did flake or peel, I eventually sold it,but I would buy another from MK.

I have a MK nylon bag with gold leather trim and it did flake in places, mostly around the zipper....

Is it one of the older bags with the "MK" print?

Think most of the designers have worked out the kinks when it comes to metallic

leather
