Talking Hey Lockheart Ladies!
Hey Lockheart Fans -

Or Ladies of Lockheart! LOL! I'm totally head over heels in love with Lockheart's Stitch in Time bag! Does anyone on TPF own one? I saw one at Handbags in the City and it was so well made and gorgy but at the time, I felt I didn't need another blue bag. Here's a link to the purse at Nordstrom but the denim color isn't available there. I should have purchased it when I saw it.

I'm also really loving the Angelina. Can anyone give me a little feedback before I take the plunge? Also, I would love to know when the spring collection goes on sale .

Thanks in advance!

I don't have either of those styles, but I own 9 Lockhearts and lurve every one of them.

When you talk about spring, you mean when are they introducing the Spring '10 line? If you are talking about spring '09 at 'sale' prices, good luck because Lockheart doesn't produce large numbers of anything. Finding them on sale is hit or miss at best. Heck, I couldn't even get one of the current bags a few weeks after I got the mini-catalog.

Yeah, sale Lockhearts aren't easy to come by. I've never seen one. Like pinkshoulders said, too, it's not easy to come by the in-season bags. I just e-mailed them about a certain bag from the latest (just out) collection, and it's apparently only available at 6 boutiques nationwide.

The bags are certainly gorgeous. If you're in love with one and cannot live without it, you'd be better off just getting it.

My first Lockheart, apparently from their first collection, was a markdown at Nordstrom Rack. I didn't even know who Lockheart was but I knew I loved the bag even then. I did get one on eBay that was most likely never used, and one sample on eBay. Otherwise, the rest were full price and scarce even then.

Hurray for Lockheart!
I don't have the bag you're interested in, but I recently got the Gather Round Holly from Nordies and it's AMAZING! The quality, the details, the color - highly recommended!
I just got another Lockheart in black canvas from Anthropologie. I have no idea what the official name it, but I can't stop carrying it.

I say go for it!

Default Lockheart Kaycee
I don't have the bag you're asking about either. I did purchase Kaycee in Black. The leather is super soft and is very comfy to carry. I like the ability of both handle and shoulder options. The embroidery is beautiful. DH says it's the nicest Lockheart I have to date! I purchased it through George at Handbags in the City. This is my second purchase. George's great! If you purchase there, please tell George, L Harding from Florida sent you! Here's a coupon for 20% off:http://baltimore.org/misc/uploads/co...the%20City.pdf

Thanks, ladies for the recommendations! I'm not sure which bag I prefer now - the Angelina or the Stitch in Time! Both bags are adorable and I love the corset-like details. From what I saw from viewing the bags in person, I can see what you mean about the quality of the bags. I'm glad to see some other Lockheart fans on the forum. I wish we had our own sub-forum!

Thanks Lharding for the coupon! I've been to Handbags in the City before and its such a cute store. I usually go there to check out some of the handbags that I see on TPF.

I have not seen the SinT bag, but I've seen and tried on the Angelina. I liked the Angelina when I spotted it on the website, but in person...well...I didn't like it that much. There are other Lockhearts I like better. Plus, and this was pretty significant to me, the bag was quite heavy. The Holly, on the other hand, was super light. I would not mind having one of these:

The stitch in time bag is really beautiful and easy to carry. It is a tote with really great pockets all around, with a magnetic lock detailing, and there is a hand detailed crochet stitch around the bag in thick black thread. The bag isn't heavy at all, but the paper that the bags are stuffed with really needs to be taken out and then try on the bag. At Lockheart, the bags are weighed before shipping to make sure that they are light to carry. One of the designers will not take this bag off.

The Angelina is an all time favorite at Lockheart. Everyone loves the convertibility of the bag. You can carry it in your hand, and then use the adjustable strap and it becomes a hobo shaped messenger bag. The details are just right for now and for tomorrow. It is a little romantic goth with the corset detailing, yet the leather box pleating is refined. Great bag, lamb leather, soft touch, and lightweight too.

The Holly is the cutest, soft and slouchy hobo. Again, you need to take out the stuffing, put something like a stapler or something that the store has behind the counter to see how soft, malleable and just "cute" this bag really is. We love the chunky knot detailing on the sides where the strap attachment begins. This hobo is different from a "regular" hobo, especially with the quilted detailing throughout. Filled with details, and timely ones at that, yet still so wearable and it is a compliment getting bag. And light as a feather.

Thanks for the feedback but I'm still unsure of which one I prefer. But this is one of those good problems that I don't mind enduring! LOL!

I wish the bags were more available at the stores; they're hard to find. There are so many on the website right now that look sooo beautiful...I would love to see them in person.

I saw several bags at Sakz about a month ago, but only two are on the website (Holly and Angelina). I thought the Angelina was heavy, though perhaps I confused it with one of the other bags, also a satchel.

Then there was a grey one whose design was so dynamic and fun. I think it had three different ways that could be carried, lots of compartments and zippers...BUT, this one was heavy for sure--so heavy that I couldn't imagine what it would be like to carry it with stuff inside. If it were not for that, I might have taken it home. I think it's called the Giselle or Gisele.

^It's totally beautiful! I bought it online without seeing it in person and I looooooooooove it. You definitely won't be disappointed.

I'm currently debating on this Lockheart. It's at Anthropologie.com, so I'm not able to see it in person. I have no idea what the actual name of it is. What do you guys think?
